It's Christmas again!!! A SEAL Wolf Christmas coming in October!!! Love it! You will get to see tons of the old home team from the Oregon Coast and Leidolf's red wolf pack in Portland. Even zoo man Thompson gets involved, again. This is the first Christmas story I've written, and since I always write some suspense, humor, romance, and a lot of wolf, it will have all the usual. This, like To Tempt the Wolf, I couldn't quit writing when I began it. It's just one of those books that practically wrote itself--characters will do that sometimes. They get away from me. They actually start out in the jungle on a SEAL-type mission, where you get to see what happens when Bjornolf and Anna are working on the same team...sort of. And then it's a new mission--of a Christmas nature. Only she doesn't buy into the whole Christmas Fa-La-La-La-La-La, La-La-La-La. So it's time to decorate for Thanksgiving, and my pyracantha is also in beautiful form just for Thanksgiving. It will turn red for Christmas! Are you ready for My Most Memorable Thanksgiving Ever? Since I write about jaguar and wolf shifters, I've been to a wolf reserve to learn more about the wolves, not in their natural habitat, but heard them howl, one of the wolves was mourning the loss of its mate, and they were pacing. This wolf had finally left its house to come to the fence. He lost his mate 3 weeks earlier and it was the first time they said he'd left his house.   The wolf below was a total beta.   This was one of the wolves that they walked when we were at the St Francis Wolf Sanctuary.And here she is scent-rolling, gathering all the nice smells before she was returned to her pen.   So seeing their behavior does help to get the story right. At the zoo, they had no wolves, but they did have jaguars. So I wanted to share some of the pictures that I took that help with my research. Fog on a nice Halloweenish day, albeit a bit early. This was a view of my neighbor's yard that normally you can see clearly. Perfectly spooky, right? All the ghosts and witches and wait, black and white kitties and a black and white panda bear? Oh well, they wanted to be part of the plan! My mother gave me the black and white kittens and panda. Except panda is distracted. Hey, look at the camera, this way!! I had a black and white cat, Trixie, who was full of the devil and my baby for years. So I have a collection of black and white cats! That's it! I freely admit I'm addicted to storytelling. But it doesn't stop there. I love to read, to discover new worlds, to find new romance. *sigh* When I was a kid and budding teen, I loved to read. At one point, we were living in Central Florida, a swampy jungle across the street from our development, with the Sahara Desert- worthy mountains of sand across the canal from my backyard. But it was also hot and muggy and mosquitoes attacked every speck of skin not protected by insect repellent. So I loved to read inside in my air conditioned bedroom. My parents were not really big readers and wanted me outside to play.
