The wait is finally over! HIGHLAND CAPTIVE is  out in the world!!! And to celebrate, I'm having a giveaway for ALL 4 BOOKS in The Sons Of Gregor Macleod.  🎉 💗 🎉 💗 🎉 💗 🎉 💗🎉 Last night I was sitting in my family room trying to get through the last push of promo, blogs, and my newsletter before the clock struck midnight and HIGHLAND CAPTIVE was released to bookshelves and e-readers alike. My kids, because they are nothing if not helpful, were crouched in front of me, drumming their chopsticks on the ottoman and giving me an impromptu rock concert. The predominant lyrics in the song my daughter was belting out was “Babies rule!” My son was singing something about Ninjas. At the same time. It occurred to me that this was probably the best send-off into the world I could have given HIGHLAND CAPTIVE—Gavin and Deirdre's story—because this is also Ewan's story, the son that both Gavin and Deirdre claim. And he would have loved it. This story

Wrapping up a long series

When I published my first series with Sourcebooks back in 2010, I never expected one spin-off series, never mind three! I write trilogies, and after the Strange Neighbors trilogy the werewolf's twin brother begged for his own book. So, I wrote the Flirting with Fangs trilogy. Again, a character in that series wanted to tell more of his story, so I got a contract for the Boston Dragons series. Them you guessed it, the phoenix character had several brothers and they had to tell their stories too! Thus, the Phoenix Brothers series was published. So, here I am... Twelve books in, and it's time for a wrap-up. A beloved character we met in Flirting with Fangs, Mother Nature herself, finally got her book. It's considered a stand-alone, but it really does wrap up all the series and characters in a neat little bow. A gift from me to you. Here's the gorgeous new cover reveal! Be A Highland Warrior Queen!

"One day I decided that I was beautiful and so I carried out my life as if I was a beautiful girl. It doesn't have anything to do with how the world perceives you. What matters is what you see."                                                  —Gabourey Sidibe                    I was looking through a box of family photos the other day, and I came across some pictures of me from over thirty years ago—I was about thirteen-years-old in one and sixteen in the other.  In the first photo, I wore my ballet tights and leotard, and in the other, I wore a one-piece bathing suit. They were odd photos because they were both taken in my bedroom and not at the beach or the ballet barre as I would have expected, and I was holding my arms out to the side like the subject in Leonardo da Vinci’s famous drawing, the Vitruvian Man. I shrugged, unable to place the photos, and kept flipping… until I found a photo of my sister-in-law, wearing the same bathing suit, in

One Dark Wish Excerpt & Preorder Link

I can't believe that in three months ONE DARK WISH , the second book in my Deadly Force romantic suspense series, will come out.  While summer will pass quickly, I actually wrote this book last year. So in my mind this book, about a historian desperate to save those she loves including a sexy, stubborn, in-the-way ex-Green Beret, has been finished for eighteen months. Although it's available for  preorder , I'm anxious for it to meet the world.  To celebrate the preorder link and the upcoming publication, today I'm offering you an excerpt--the book's prologue. I hope you enjoy it! PROLOGUE “T he man bowed .” S arah M unro hiked her st raw bag higher on her shoulder and followed the officer down the Savannah Police Department’s hallway. He held a cell phone to his ear, and she yanked his arm. “And a woman died tonight.”  He nodded, but his deep frown, as well as his dismissive wave, told her he wasn’t too concerned about the murder. Or the fact
