The Silver Town Wolves are Uniquely Hot!

Tiger Mix Ganzania flowers. The orange and yellow one is yet another version that popped out yesterday. They fold up and pop out a new flower, but most are different, all on the same two plants. It was one of two rescued plants that were dying at a hardware store, and they’re my favorite because of all the unique flowers. And I was excited to learn that an unnamed plant I rescued at the same hardware store last spring is a gorgeous daylily, unique color from my others. It was like Christmas when it flowered! In writing, each of my stories has to be unique also. I’m finishing up book 25 in the wolf series. They’re all stand alone, so no need to read them in order. I turned in Flight of the White Wolf–and now am finishing up, and finishing up, and finishing up The Bounty Hunter Gets Her Wolf. I have had a bounty hunter heroine before, but she was trying to take down a Mobster, the same one that turned her and murdered her mother in Dreaming of the Wolf. And...

Jaguar Fever and Authors After Dark

My release date was just a few days ago and I want to shout out to the world that Jaguar Fever is hot for you!!! This is the 2nd book in the Heart of the Jaguar series-- I just turned in Jaguar Hunt , and for readers who love David Patterson, the hero's brother, his story is next.  I'll be going to Authors After Dark soon and that will be my second readers' conference to attend. Don't you think this one is appropriate though? Authors After Dark? As in Jaguar Fever or Savage Hunger ....after dark? Not that they aren't fun during the day too, and then there's the catnap (every time I read this, it says catnip to me...that can be a riot too) that can be even hotter. You know, they don't even have to be in the jungle before Maya Anderson is causing trouble. While they're in a jaguar shifter bar, only kind there is because other shifters don't exist, right? Wade Patterson's brother, David, is hit in the head with a bott...

RWA Nationals in Atlanta!

Eastward ho! I already had a Facebook fan email me to get together with her to autograph her books before or after the signing! That is a first for me. And so thrilling! Last year, Sourcebooks generously gave away copies of A SEAL in Wolf's Clothing at Anaheim, and you should have seen me waving at readers who were sitting down in the hotel eateries with a book in hand, saying, "You want me to autograph your book for you?" I'm an introvert, folks, so that's not the real me. Really. But hey, if someone had the book and wanted me to autograph it, all the better!  A couple of weeks ago, I was at RomCon in Colorado Springs, my very first readers' conference, and SB generously sent Savage Hunger and A Highland Werewolf Wedding for the signing. Afterward, I had some left over and couldn't take them home with me, so went to the dinner that night, wheeling my suitcase. At first, I had the notion of putting them on readers' chairs, but then a ton of ...

RomCon at Colorado Springs

One of my wolf packs is from Colorado, Silver Town, a makeshift place partly based on the quaint silver mining town of Telluride where I've skied before. For RomCon, I visited Colorado Springs. I'd wished I'd seen the wolf reserve one hour from there while I was there! Unfortunately, fires were raging in parts of the area. So I managed to take a picture of the mountains in the morning. By afternoon and evening, the smoke is like a thick fog. Two people have died in the fires so they're treating it as homicide. Over a hundred houses destroyed. The wildlife and acres of trees are being lost. No one knows if they're being set on purpose or if it's carelessness or an act of nature. It's devastating for everyone no matter the reasons for the fires. They said the mountains are normally crystal clear, but with the haze of smoke, this is how it looks even in the morning at its best.  Here are the Colorado City Skies at sunset--I thought the cl...

A Highland Werewolf Wedding is HERE! by Terry Spear

Well, officially tomorrow. But that will be here before we know it! I've been having fun making some new cool book trailer videos--this one for A Highland Werewolf Wedding! Can't wait to make the Jaguar Fever and Savage Hunger ones because I have some terrific photos from the jungle--well, Moody Gardens in Galveston, Texas, but who's telling? :) I thought the moving objects in a couple of the videos I saw were really neat and I wanted to do that too with the wolf video I took in Omaha, NE. It was a lot of trial and error and "my" wolf didn't do a whole lot in the clip, and I couldn't have very much of it because it would make the trailer too long, but I thought it added to the video. Busy writing JAGUAR HUNT now coming June 2014, but in between, I'm going to work on some more wolf and jaguar videos to upload for past and future books. They're really easy and lots of fun. The Scotland pictures I took while I was there. The chapel was the one...

A Visit to the Rainforest! Moody Gardens Style!

Have you ever tried to grow orchids? They're gorgeous, but I haven't had any success with growing them in the house.  But just think how these beautiful flowers grow everywhere in the rainforest!  25,000-30,000 varieties. :)  Some are truly fragrant. Think of how it would be, winding your way through the rainforest and seeing these growing in the trees wild.  Solid? Speckled? :) You know what waterfalls are for, right??? :) Don't you love when something fun reminds you of something fun every time you see it? Like a waterfall in a particular rainforest jungle? :) So I just had to get a picture of it, so I could envision, well...jungle cats beneath the waterfall. Ah...those were the days. If you read Savage Hunger--you know what I mean--beyond the jungle are orchids and parrots and monkeys and Maya Anderson serving as a jaguar guard while you and Connor are... Well behind the waterfall...it's left up to your imagination.  Wo...

Ever Feel Like This?

Just...lazy? Want to procrastinate when work needs to be done? I'll think of it tomorrow mentality? I'll do something about it next week. And then all of a sudden the time has come and you're like what happened to the time? Do you have stuff you like to do and so that gets priority over the stuff you don't like to do? Or don't want to do? Taxes come to mind....every year I say I'll get better organized, and every year it's the same old thing. :) Though I have to admit part of it is that statements don't come in on time like they're supposed to. I did have the urge to do them one day, but didn't have all my statements in. You know what? That makes us human. See, the guy in the tree, he can afford to do what he wants because he doesn't have to do anything else. Procrastination can lead to stress and more problems--so I'm not advocating to do it--hint to self: Get to work on taxes. But on the other hand, give yoursel...

Howl!!! Giveaway! Ready for a Vacation? by Terry Spear

Are you packed and ready? For this? Blue skies. Palm trees. Blue water. And this...wolves with style. Oh, sure, just ANYONE can go to the beach. But what if you were to find HIM on the beach, and when he saw you...man, you sure got his attention. And what if he needs some sun tan oil rubbed into all those muscles. I mean, Celts DO have fair skin. And what if he wants to rub all that oil on YOU next--either out of the bottle or share some of his own. And what if swimming isn't all he wants to do with you in this island paradise. Like...take a run on the wild side. What? You thought he was thinking of something else? Well, he would be...but that's private between the two of you. I would NEVER want to put that up for all to see. Not even in a book. Well, maybe in a book. Where do you think I get my ideas from? So even if you hadn't planned a vacation, this one doesn't cost a whole lot and you get a big gray Highland wolf with it too! And he's yours ...

Seals, the Other Kind by Terry Spear

Okay, so they may not be hot SEAL types like in To Tempt the Wolf, (but you note the playful romance going on?) A SEAL in Wolf's Clothing or   A SEAL Wolf Christmas.... A SEAL Wolf Christmas: Oct 1, 2013   But they're still cute, right?   And here's what you get when you mix up a male SEAL with a female SEAL...or seal...a baby seal. :)  Or in my wolf SEAL's cases...baby werewolves... Got that straight? BIG happening on Tuesday, Feb 5, btw! The Highland wolf hunks are back! Think, trip to Grand Cayman Island, a little fun and sun, a little snorkeling, a little playful wolf tactics, a LOT hot....he might not be wearing a kilt until the end of the book, but whatever he's wearing, or not wearing...Duncan gets attention. :)   B&N Amazon And the winner for last week is: Sherry!  It's been kind of crazy around here juggling 5 books at once--A Howl for a Highlander book release, final read through ...

Countdown to Howl Continues all Next Week--Another winner?!

Last week's winner was:Martha Lawson Between roof and plumbing problems, both leaks!!! And the blog tour, and edits on A SEAL Wolf Christmas, and Jaguar Fever and finishing up Silence of the Wolf, and dealing with a headache the size of Texas,  here is an excerpt from A Howl for a Highlander so I don't have to think too hard: He didn’t say anything more, and Shelley was too stunned to speak. Wendy broke in, dying to know all about him. “That’s him? A Scottish hunk? Who sounds like he’s already way too intrigued with you? Don’t tell me you’re wearing that string bikini of yours,” she said. Knowing Wendy, she’d want to forget her manufacturing crisis and fly to the island to check him out. She’d let him stay at the villa for free, too. Probably pay for all his meals, excursions, everything. She could certainly afford it. Forget Shelley taking in needy strays. She figured Wendy would be the one offering a free room stateside for him. Until she learned he was a wolf. Wolv...

A Howl for a Highlander and 1st GIVEAWAY--Autographed copy!

Make a trip to Grand Cayman Island where you will snorkel with the sting rays, cruise with swashbuckling pirates, and swim with the wolves. :) B&N Amazon I actually went to Grand Cayman Island and did all that the hunky wolf and his she-wolf did. They balked about going on the submarine, and I didn't blame them. It wasn't worth the price and if you have claustrophobia, not the place to be. But otherwise, except for having all the fun with the wolf, I did it!!! :) Though I kept thinking while I wrote the book, that I needed to go back for a refresher! :) The books comes out February, but the actual guest blog tour starts on Monday! So who wants to have a chance at winning a book even earlier than that??? If you comment, I'll put you in the drawing. ******* A Howl for the Highlander (Book 10) Sourcebooks Feb 2013 Duncan MacNeill is a Highlander at heart with a mission—find gray wolf and former stockbroker, Silverman who has stolen the family fortune an...
