New Release! WOLF UNLEASHED - Special Wolf Alpha Team (SWAT)! And a HUGE GIVEAWAY!

It’s release day for the next book in my Special Wolf Alpha Team (SWAT) Series, WOLF UNLEASHED ! If you’ve read the other books in the Series, you’ve already met hunky werewolf Alex Trevino. Well, he’s found The One for him in beautiful dog lover, veterinarian Lacey Barton. Thing is, Lacey doesn't trust guys very much. In her experience, men don't hang around and the woman always ends up getting hurt. But Alex is different. Okay, understatement there. He is a werewolf, after all. :) SHE BRINGS OUT THE WOLF IN HIM... Lacey Barton can't deny her crazy attraction to Alex Trevino, but that doesn't mean she has time for the gorgeous SWAT officer. She's hell-bent on discovering who's behind the brutal dogfights sending countless mauled animals to her veterinarian office. The trail leads Lacey to a ring of vicious drug dealers and suddenly she's in way over her head-right smack in the middle of a SWAT stakeout. With Lacey in danger, Alex's wolf s...

The Jungle is Heating up with Jaguars! by Terry Spear

First, you have that predatory look. It's time for some action-packed loving--the jungle's hot, but it gets hotter when the jaguars arrive.   A Jaguar at Edinburgh Zoo .  Hmm, maybe there are Highland jaguar shifters in Scotland! All that golden skin, lovely black rosettes, whiskers that sense even the slightest movement in the air current, and he's watching you sitting up in that tree, intending to join you soon. So be ready. He wants some kitty-cat comfort. And you're ready. So here's the first of the jaguar men. He's looking for you. Protective and caring. Savage Hunger  Hot and yummy. Yet comfortable in either of his forms. And here's the next one, who's just as intrigued with you. JAGUAR FEVER Thanks to Sourcebooks for combining wolves and jaguars on a book mark for conference! Sold! A SEAL Wolf Christmas!

Not sure about the title, but Sourcebooks bought A SEAL Wolf Christmas! It all began with To Tempt the Wolf and Hunter and his wolf pack! You know how that began. Tessa finds a naked man on her beach. Hey, he's a SEAL...wolf. What can you expect?  Snowstorm coming. What's a woman to do??? Then there's A SEAL in Wolf's Clothing. And a return to Hunter's pack, only this time with one of his SEAL team members, back at the Oregon coast, Finn Emerson intending to protect Hunter's sister Meara. Meara catches him before he covers himself with a towel, pretending to be her lover while she's intending to find a mate. And it's NOT going to be him. He's such a devil of a wolfish SEAL hunk. And now? I got word last night, talk about TGIF!!! Anna and Bjornolf get their turn! A SEAL Wolf Christmas (title probably to change) Navy SEAL Bjornolf Jorgenson and undercover operative Anna Johnson have a rocky beginning at the...

Beginning a new manuscript

January is a time for new beginnings...as are Mondays. I don't bother trying to start a diet on Jan 1st, because it's my anniversary. Less than a week later is my birthday, then we go away for our annual post holiday brain thaw in a warmer climate. This year we went to Panama. (See the gorgeous waterfall I posted on You Tube last week.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnWrFU3MzU8&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL But today, Monday the 15th, it's time to buckle down and get back to reality. I have a head start this time. The book began to pour out of me a couple months ago, so I wrote a few pages. I liked the characters and incorporated them into the story I had been writing before deadline. (First in a new series. It's a spin off of the Strange Neighbors books. The new series is called Flirting with Fangs.) I finished book 1 right before vacation and sent to to my agent for her feedback--then I was able to relax for an entire week. Whew! How often does that happe...

The Jaguars are Coming!

The New Year for me means a new series on the horizon. But it also means a return to book 3, Hunter's wolf pack in To Tempt the Wolf , and Meara's search for a mate in all the wrong places in A SEAL in Wolf's Clothing . She has NO intention of even looking one of her brother's SEAL team member's way. Ever. Never. Right. I mean, just look at him. Would you not ever look his way??? I love wolves, and I'm continuing to write about them. I've finished book 10, the sequel to Heart of the Highland Wolf, Duncan's story, working on Tom's story in Silence of the Wolf--have had a number of fans tell me they want to read HIS story after reading Jake's in Dreaming of the Wolf , both brothers from Destiny of the Wolf, book 2, and another of the Highland wolf stories, this one Cearnach's, Highland Wolf Wedding, also a brother from Heart of the Highland Wolf, book 7. And I have another wolf story in the wings. So for the New Year, wolves are st...

What I Want Under MY Tree this Christmas! by Terry Spear

REALLY, must I say anything else at all??? But I'm a writer, so I have to say something! I know, no one will be paying any attention to me, not when everyone is eyeballing my Christmas packages. After Thanksgiving, I always set up the tree. But you know how much of a tangle the Christmas lights can be in. So I'll need help. And here's my first choice helper. A wolf. Well, he was a wolf and got sort of tangled up in the lights, and then when he shifted, voila! Who cares if he's much of a help or not? The fun of it is that I get to untangle him! What I want to know is would anyone else like the job??? When all is said and done, it's time for a romp in the hay. So to speak. We've got to get the outdoor lights put up, but I tired the poor wolf out with all the other decorations he helped me to display and well, anyone raising their hand to help revive him??? The nice thing about wolves is they come in a pack, so you can enjoy meeting a variety of them...

I Owe a Debt of Gratitude to...

by Terry Spear I owe a debt of gratitude to my mother, who instilled in me a love of the Highlands and our Scottish heritage, to seek out the truth about our Highland roots, and to keep our oral history alive. And so because of my mother, I wrote HEART OF THE HIGHLAND WOLF, with more Highland tales to come. Heart of the Highland Wolf ~Terry Spear Mass Market Paperback: 416 pages Publisher: Sourcebooks Casablanca Publish Date: June 1, 211 ISBN-10: 1402245521 ISBN-13: 978-1402245527 ASIN: B004Y5AV1K Each holds a secret they can't possibly overcome alone... Julia Wildthorn is sneaking into Argent Castle to steal an ancient relic, but reluctant laird Ian MacNeill may be the key to unlocking the one answer she really wants discovered... From brilliant storyteller Terry Spear, modern day werewolves meet the rugged Highlands of Scotland, where instinct meets tradition, and clan loyalties give a whole new meaning to danger... **** All month, I've been guest blogging a...

Wolfish Highland Hunks!

by Terry Spear This was one of the castles I saw when I went to Scotland. Note the green moss from the cool moisture and the way the steps curve? The stone stairs were extremely narrow and gave the advantage to the defender of the castle who could fight with his right sword arm, while the attacker would not be able to fight back as vigorously what with the way the stairs curved. Castles were built not with luxury in mind, but with defense as their priority. It seems like years ago since I wrote Heart of the Highland Wolf, when it was only just last year. But three books later, I had even written the sequel to Heart of the Highland Wolf, featuring Ian MacNeill's youngest brother in The Highland Wolf in Paradise. It felt odd writing a sequel without first hearing back from fans if they even liked the first of the Highland wolf books!! I've always loved Highland stories and writing about them, partly because of my own Highland and Irish roots, but the challenge was in writing a co...

I Have to Blog about Which Book???

It's nearly time for the release of HEART OF THE HIGHLAND WOLF, and all that gorgeous wolf and Highland combination that makes a body want to visit a castle in Scotland and stay there! But even though this is the current book to release, what am I thinking about??? Jaguars!!! Or, jaguar shifters. It's hard when writing the current work in progress, to remember what I wrote nearly four books ago!!! So when readers ask me how do I keep track of all my characters? I don't. :) And that's the truth. But I love to reread the stories to get a feel of the characters again anyway, so it's fine with me that way. I don't make lists or anything. I used to years ago--a To Do List, and was so wrapped up in it, I had to just give it up. So, being the pantser that I am, I just reread. If ONLY the books came in audio books. Yes! Then I could listen to a Highlander's burr all night long. Who really needs sleep? And then I'd recall all the details of the story I had forgo...
