I might as well face it; I’m addicted to love. (Thank you,
Robert Palmer, for helping me to see the truth about myself.) It’s true,
though. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been in love with love. I wasn’t
even in school yet when I became glued to the TV watching The Dating Game. And
The Newlywed Game? OMG!!! It was my favorite. Later there was The Love
Connection and my most recent obsession is The Bachelor/Bachelorette.
Yes, I’ll proudly say I’m a fan of these shows, because
ultimately I WANT everyone to have their HEA. I figure finding
that perfect person can happen anyplace, so why not a show? It doesn’t mean I
think the set-up is magical, but it makes a great story when it works out. I
think I might have been a matchmaker in a previous life. How perfect that I
became a romance writer, right?
The other things I enjoy are those quizzes you find in
magazines. Love quizzes are the best! So, I decided to mash together two of my favorite
things—matchmaking & quizzes—for today’s blog. Hence, I
present…(drum roll, please)
HOW TO PICK YOUR FICTIONAL BOYFRIEND:
Choose the letter that best fits. Count the number of As,
Bs, Cs, and Ds you answered. Then see below to see which Beau Monde Bachelor
would make the perfect fictional boyfriend for you!
Your idea of a romantic date includes:
a. A pleasurable ride in a carriage (wink, wink)
b. A moonlit stroll in the gardens
c. A dinner cruise, every night for several weeks
d. A day of fishing topped off with a picnic and a
swim
Your favorite expression of affection is:
a. Your love calling you by a pet name
b. Gifts! Anything sparkly will do
c. A playful swat on the rump
d. Flowers and a sweet note
You
would have most in common with a man who:
a. Shows interest in horses
b. Engages in charity work
c. Loves the ocean
d. Enjoys travel
Your
ideal man is:
a. Witty, good natured, and quite the lover
b. Loveable and scorching hot
c. A bad boy who likes to be in control
d. An adventurer in all things
Flaw
that would bother you the least:
a. History of being a lady’s man
b. Your man being a bit of a klutz, but smooth on
the dance floor and other places it counts
c. Overbearing and stubborn
d. Rarely takes things seriously, even when he
should
You
would most appreciate a man who would:
a. Be good at teasing you out of a bad mood
b. Make efforts to win over your best friend
c. Be nice to your family
d. Accept you for who you are
You
would be most likely to fall in love with a man who:
a. Changes his ways because he loves you
b. Has never doubted his love for you
c. Would risk his life to keep you and your family
safe
d. Would stand by your side no matter what
If
you chose mostly…
A – Lord Andrew Forest, the hero from Miss Hillary Schools a Scoundrel, is your perfect match. He's a disreputable
rake with no intentions of settling for one woman, but a good lady with just
the right wit and bravery to call him on his bad behavior could be all it takes
to make this scoundrel want to reform.
B – Jake Hillary, the hero from Lady Amelia’s Mess and a Half, is your type of man. He's like the
Superman/Clark Kent of regency. He’s the dependable guy you may not have
noticed, except for the fact he’s sexy as hell. Kind, honest, and honorable, he’s looking to
be some lucky lady’s superhero, and in return, she can save him from a life
without love.
C
– Daniel Hillary, the hero from Miss Lavigne’s Little White Lie, is the lover boy meant for you. A rakish
ship captain with a painful past, he hides behind his sexy smiles and lewd
suggestions. But the right lady can unlock his secrets and convince him that
he’s worthy of love.
D
– Luke Forest, the hero from Lady Vivian Defies a Duke, is the duke for you. He's a man at the top, at
least he would be if an accident from his past didn’t make him unsuited to lead
his family. His adventurous spirit has been steering him to lands afar. Perhaps
all it would take is a lady who understands him to point him back in the right
direction.
If
you would like to begin your fictional romance today, leave a comment telling
me which bachelor is for you and an email address. I’ll choose a winner to
receive a book from the series, reader’s choice. Open internationally. (Lady Vivian Defies a Duke
won't be released until May 2013, but I have an advanced reader copy I’d be willing
to share.)
PS – YOUR BACHELOR CHOICE DOESN'T HAVE TO MATCH THE BOOK YOU WOULD LIKE TO WIN!
Wishing
you all a happily-ever-after in real life!
Lord Andrew would be my pick!! They all sound good though. Thanks for the chance to win.

My answers were all over the place but I had 3 ds. So Luke Forest is my man. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing, Martha! Lord Andrew is the only hero to make an appearance in one of my dreams. I think I was a bit infatuated with him. :)
ReplyDeleteMaria,
ReplyDeleteIf I had to choose one, I'd have a hard time. Not just from my books. There are so many heroes I end up adoring. The great thing about romance novels is you never have to settle for only one. :)
Well it looks like my new fictional boyfriend is a Duke. I can handle that!
ReplyDeleteJen,
ReplyDeleteA duke isn't hard to take at all. Thanks for stopping by! :)
If you want to be in the drawing for a free book, don't forget to leave me your email address. :)
ReplyDeleteYea, Luke Duke is sooooooooo my man!! I am not surprised considering I can not take my eyes off of him;)

Anon,
ReplyDeleteI'm not surprised either. LOL. Luke Duke cracks me up! :)
I got Luke Forest! I'm not complaining. ;-) hehe

Lord Andrew Forest is mine, his history of being a bad boy just means he knows all kinds of naughty tricks to make me happy. And reformen rakes are the best husbands they say.
ReplyDeleteThey are all made for loving, Samantha!!!! I would not even presume to pick. I don't like conflict. :) I'll take them all. :)
ReplyDeleteI ended up with D but liked C. Truthfully, all are very good. :) Thank you for his quiz, it was fun.
ReplyDeleteapril.haden@yahoo.com
DeleteFun! Luke Forest is the guy for me :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks to everyone who has left a comment so far. I'm headed out the door because I'm working my day job today, but I'll be back to respond to everyone a little later. Have a great day! :)
ReplyDeleteMy answers were rather spread out but d won by a whisker. Luke, you're my man!
ReplyDeletethumbelinda03@yahoo.com
tie between luke and daniel. such a choice!!!
ReplyDeleteLuke Forest was the one I would pick and he was the one that I got by taking the quiz. Jeann830@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteI'll take them ALL! ;-)
ReplyDeleteLOL Sam~ you need to let his Grace know that I want something awesome for my birthday, because he's my fictional boyfriend. I thought it would be Daniel, but Luke pulled ahead. Love the quiz.
ReplyDeletecountessofmar(at)yahoo(dot)com
Daniel and Luke tied...that means I get both of them. YAY!!!
ReplyDeleteCute cute quiz. What fun!
Luke was first with with Daniel coming in second but after reading about all your books - I'm pretty sure I would like all your heroes :) I must admit I liked your descritption of Jake even though I only had one B. Maybe that shows I don't know what's best for me lol.

Luke Forest

KT,
ReplyDeleteIt wouldn't be much of a hardship to get any of them, would it? Thanks for stopping by and I've added you to the drawing. :)
Sheila,
ReplyDeleteI have heard that about reformed rakes, and Drew is yummy! I hope you two will be very happy together. ;)
Terry,
ReplyDeleteYou are a Goodwill Ambassador. I applaud your sacrifice for the sake of peace. ;D
Hi, April!
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to see you pop by on my blog day. I wonder if you'll end up liking Luke as much as Daniel. (You can still love the cover model best. *g*)
Shana,
ReplyDeleteLuke Forest is on a roll! :)
Linda,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and playing! I love Luke so, so much, but I'll step aside since you're well suited for each other. :)
Woo hoo, Sandy! I think you hit the jackpot. Maybe you can alternate every other day. ;)
ReplyDeleteJeannette,
ReplyDeleteHow awesome is that? He's the perfect fictional man for you all the way around! :)
Victoria,
ReplyDeleteI like a girl that know what she wants! :D
Melody,
ReplyDeleteI'll pass on the word. Too bad you didn't get Jake. He likes to give jewelry! ;D
Catslady,
ReplyDeleteI say, "Why limit yourself?" Have one of each! :D
I like how you think, Carolyn! LOL
ReplyDeleteLOL Sam~ that might be the case, but I like guys who will like me no matter what. Jewelry would just collect dust. I'm not a huge jewelry fan.
ReplyDeleteMy answers varied but I had more d's than anything, so Luke Forest is for me. Although from the descriptions, they all sound great. :D
ReplyDeleteBarbed1951 at aol dot com
I'm not very original because Luke Forest is my man, too. Maybe he's just the ideal man! I think you created a winner with him.
ReplyDeleteJake Hilary for me. I am going to go back and reread the book now.
ReplyDeletekathy.nye@comcast.net
Luke Forest! Thank you for the happily ever after wishes! I wish for you the same!

Melody,
ReplyDeleteI'll take endless adoration AND jewelry! :)
Thank you, Barbara! :)
ReplyDeleteKellianne,
ReplyDeleteI hope you're right about Luke being a winner. I really enjoyed writing his and Vivian's story. :)
Kathy,
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm so glad someone picked Jake. He's near and dear to my heart. He's definitely the one I would have a fictional wedding with. :)
Thank you, Chelsea!
ReplyDeleteAnother vote for Luke. This is interesting. :)
