United We Stand!

In praise of wolves and their fantasy counterpart, werewolves, here's a family of wolves howling for unity, for a pack gathering, for hunting, or comraderie. In Destiny of the Wolf , I wanted to show a pack together, just like the old rallying words, united we stand, divided we fall. And for wolf packs, they must work together to survive. The same with werewolf packs if they are to remain anynomous. So in Destiny of the Wolf, the gray wolf pack actually runs a town, although the human inhabitants don't know about the true nature of those who are in charge. In Heart of the Wolf , the werewolves lived amongst the humans, running their own businesses, but humans run the cities and towns. So I wanted to show what would happen if a lupus garou pack was in charge. Darien Silver is getting over the loss of his mate, when her near clone arrives on the scene, looking to find some answers as to why her sister died. One little red wolf's appearance turns Darien's life and his pa...

Where's Waldo? No, Not Waldo, Destiny of the Wolf!

Yep, Destiny of the Wolf is popping up all over the place! It's out! Fans of Heart of the Wolf have found it in Barnes & Nobles all over the States! And already I've had fans email me saying they couldn't put the book down. One is an author, who said she had to set her own writing aside and it was all my fault! Woohoo, that's what I love to hear!!! Okay, so here's a short snippet from Destiny of the Wolf : As soon as she saw him, she knew it was him—not only because silence instantly cloaked the room and every eye in the place watched Darien Silver’s reaction. His sable hair curled at the top edge of his collar. Brooding dark eyes, grim lips, features handsomely rugged, but definitely hard, defined him. Wearing a leather jacket, western shirt, jeans, and boots, everything was as black as his somber mood. He looked so much like Tom and Jake, she figured they must be triplets, and he was the leader of the gray lupus garou in the area. Had to be, the way everyone...

Wolves 'R Us

While writing my wolf tales, I do a lot of reading up on wolves and recently I found a true life story with a tragic ending for one wolf's mate, but the wolf found another to love, my favorite happily-ever-after wolf tale. So I hope to include it in a story soon. Right now I'm writing more blogs and author interviews about wolves, werewolves, and the like for the upcoming release of Destiny of the Wolf. So the question that invariably comes up--where do you get your ideas? From research on werewolves, wolves, and the areas my books are set in, werewolf legends and mythology, body language, both for humans and wolves--and pictures like these that tell their very own story. :) But the wolves are only part of the story. The tale wouldn't be complete without the human part of the equation. So here's the human side of the story. :) Next up is Temptation of the Wolf, due out in the fall, and I can't wait to see what the art department comes up with for a new co...
