I've been gearing up for the release of The Right Kind of Reckless for a little over a month, and I'm growing more excited by the day to share with the world, Max and Lia. These two are the heart of my heart! Truly. They were also quite different for me when it comes to characterization and how they were perceived. Lia, being the hard-headed do-it-herself kind of gal, and Max being the laid-back, let-it-happen kind of guy. In the world of publishing, everything is slow going. Several people have asked me, emailed me, messaged me, and all that good stuff, wondering about the next books in my series. For now, The Right Kind of Reckless is officially coming November 7th! AKA Max's story. As for Gavin's story? I don't have an official release date for that just yet. (sorry Gav lovers!!) BUT I'm hoping next year, for sure. To make up for all the waiting, I've decided to give some Max fans a little taste of his sweetness come November. The writing groove is back and better than ever. Only thing missing now is (drum roll please) TIME! Summer is here, which means my girls are off of school and dying to be busy every second of the day. So between swimming lessons, art classes, and dance class, I'm dang tired by the time the end of the day rolls around and the last thing I can do is sit in front of my computer and write romance when the blare of hip hop music plays from our Alexa, while the the annoying tween and teen voices from Bunk'd sounds from our TV. Top Five books on my TBR list It’s a sad, sad world when I’m only allowed to pick my top five books on my TBR list, BUT I’ve done it with the utmost care and am ready to show the world what I am DYING to read. Between mothering at the end of the school year, edits, and writing new books, I barely have time to breathe, let along read. But I need to read like I need to live, so I’ve been trying extra hard to read before I go to bed at least. The problem with that? Bromances are pretty much the staple of the entertainment world to me. Nothing beats the banter and the friendship of two or more men. The way they interact, the way they rely on each other, the way they look to one another as not just friends, but brothers too. It's my first official blog post as a Casablanca author and I couldn't be more excited. I'm not a good blogger, just getting that out of the way first and foremost. At times I tend to ramble and make absolutely no sense, but I can talk. AND I can write books too. So why the heck is blogging so hard for me? God I wish I knew.
