Only Four Shopping Days Left Until Christmas!

This year, I'm taking the season one day at a time, trying not to stress or bitch or moan. Just keep plowing on through it. Raise your hands if you can relate.

I got the tree up on the 9th,

and wrapped presents on the 14th. At least, those I had already bought. Christmas presents for my eldest son are kinda tough this year because he now lives clear across the country in California and doesn't want to have to take stuff home with him on the plane. Getting packages delivered to him at his workplace instead of his apartment wasn't the solution, because they tried to deliver one of them on a Saturday when no one was there. *sigh* But I keep trying...

Making candy is next. I'm trying my hand at chocolate truffles this year. They may not turn out very pretty, but eating the ugly ones should be no hardship on anyone. 😁

I have a new release coming January 29th, (Cat Star Legacy #2: Mystic) so of course I have posts to write for the blog tour by the second of January. Fortunately, since this is one of the busiest times of the year, these tours aren't quite as extensive as they used to be. I used to have fifteen or twenty blog posts to write. Now I'm only being asked for three posts and four excerpts. For some reason, choosing those excerpts is a lot harder to do than you'd expect. I have a hard time whittling down sections of less than a thousand words. I mean, I think you need to read the whole book to get the full effect. I guess that's the plan, huh?

For now, though, I'm limiting myself to wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

And giving you another peek at the cover!

  1. Happy Holidays, Cheryl! You are a rock star, at Christmas and any other time of the year. Truffles are a bold step. I stayed in my safe crescent roll zone. Mystic is fabulous! We need our cats!!

    1. Thanks, Nan! The truffles turned out okay. Had to hide them until Mikey gets home. Unfortunately, I know where they are!

  2. Merry Christmas, Cheryl. Candy? You're making candy? I did two batches of cookies and called it done. :-)

    1. Merry Christmas, Liz! I used to make several different kinds of cookies for Christmas and give them as gifts. Haven't done that in ages. Maybe next year...
