The Troublemaker Is Here!

Hello! This is my first blog with the Casablanca Authors, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the quality of authors at Sourcebooks. It’s a true pleasure to be along such talent, and I keep hoping the powers that be won’t notice I somehow slipped in here with the others. LOL

How’s that by way of an introduction?

My name is Marie Harte, and I’ve been writing professionally for nine years. My first book came out as an ebook before the Kindle existed, back in late 2004. In the years since, I’ve hit the USA Today bestseller’s list and written over 100 stories, including my McCauley series for Sourcebooks. I’m over-the-moon excited about my contemporary romances debuting at Sourcebooks. 

Three years ago, a well-known agent contacted me, out of the blue, about one of my books that had been doing well on the Amazon Kindle bestseller list. It was the first of a sexy, contemporary series about three brothers finding love. That agent wanted to know what else I had. And no, she wasn’t interested in the paranormal novel sitting on my shelf. *sigh* So I wrote my tail off and created the first McCauley Brothers book. 

I never did connect with that busy agent, so I put the story aside and focused on work that was selling. Then one day I decided to submit my story again. Low and behold, Sourcebooks liked it! And they wanted all three brothers. Except, well, there were four brothers, one who had a different last name, but he was a brother in heart if not by blood. 

After a short pause, my editor still wanted it. Hurray! So I spent the first half of 2013 writing the next three books. And bam, my McCauleys have their happily-ever-afters.

• Cam, the financial genius so different from his blue-collar brothers.
• And Mike, the responsible eldest brother who loved and lost, and has no intention of loving again.

On June 3^rd, you can read about Flynn in The Troublemaker Next Door. Then in August, Brody arrives, followed by Cam in October and Mike in November. Four books, six months. Lots of love coming your way!
