KISS THE EARL has finally arrived!

Excuse me while I have a wee muppet flail. GIFSoup KISS THE EARL is finally here!! It's here! It's really really here! Okay, so those of you who don't know what I'm flopping around about, here. Check out this sweetness, and tell me I'm wrong to be jumping up and down. :) This is the third installment in the Geek Girls series. But don't let that stop you! This story stands on its own. It's gotten great reviews from RT (!!!) and Booklist (!!!!) and early reviewers alike. I'm extremely proud of this story. It took a whole lot to get it out there, but now that it's here, I'm over the moon! This book was scheduled to release over a year ago. But then something called "rebranding" happened, and that meant new cover, new marketing, new edits, and a lot more time. It was stressful, but luckily I have an angel of an editor who never let me flip out too much. :) The result is a story that I think is the strongest in the series. I h...

Bec McMaster's Of Silk And Steam is finally here!

As the fifth book in the London Steampunk series, I've been waiting a while to tell the story of Aramina Duvall, the icy Duchess of Casavian, and Leo Barrons, the illegitimate heir of the Duke of Caine.  Both characters appeared in Kiss of Steel , the first book in my London Steampunk series, as mortal enemies, their relationship growing over the course of the previous four books until they finally get their romantic showdown in Of Silk And Steam .  And it is epic! Picture a Romeo & Juliet type family feud, a battle of wits - and seduction - between an ice princess and the only man who dares to scale her walls, and all-out war as a group of roguish and determined revolutionaries take on the cruel Prince Consort.  Blurb: When her beloved father was assassinated, Lady Aramina swore revenge. The man responsible is well beyond her grasp, but his dangerously seductive heir, Leo Barrons, is fair game. When Mina obtains evidence proving that Le...

Love Is In The Air - Well, Not Quite

Actually it's in the sea. And on land. But definitely not in the air. (I'll save that for the Genie Series.) But it's now official - my third book from Sourcebooks has been released - and there's something about " Catch is Released" that just tickles my funny bone. When I think back to June, only 7 months ago, my first book was coming out and how excited I was about that, I remember how nervous I was. Would people like it? Would they embrace the world? Was the suspension of disbelief enough to let them "go" with the idea of mermen? It definitely helps to have an editor who loves your work, so that nervousness was taken down a few notches, but you know what? It never goes away. And even with such great reception to the first two books, I'm still nervous. And then I get emails from readers who I've come to know over the past 7 months, who say things like, "I'm so excited for you," or "I can't wait to read this story!...

My Dearest Mr. Darcy Launch Party!

Yes indeed! The third novel in my Darcy Saga series published by Sourcebooks is now available! Whoo Hoo!! This makes 3 releases in 10 months – talk about crazy! But Oh So Much Fun! And all along I have been able to share the joy with my fellow CasaBabes and our loyal fans. What a tremendous honor. My author’s copies arrived and the shouts of joy were surely heard several houses away. Here I am holding my newest baby. Ah, how sweet! Truly, there is nothing quite like seeing the completely finished product for the first time. I love this photo of all three of them together. Absolutely stunning! My Dearest Mr. Darcy follows immediately in line with Mr. and Mrs. Fitzwilliam Darcy and Loving Mr. Darcy . These three books leisurely cover one year of marriage for Fitzwilliam and Elizabeth Darcy of Jane Austen’s “Pride & Prejudice.” The novels are meant to be read in sequence, as a series, so no matter how intriguing this one may sound to you, I urge you to read the first one instead. T...

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

by Sharon Lathan Indeed, this is the most wonderful time of the year! I adore Christmas. It is my absolute favorite holiday for a host of reasons. The entire period from Thanksgiving through New Years is always a treasured time for me and I relish every crazed moment of it. This year the excitement of the season is increased by the upcoming release of my third novel – My Dearest Mr. Darcy . Of course that also adds to the workload, and both my well-laid plans and delight were dimmed slightly by the killer mutant flu from Hades that knocked me flat for 2 solid weeks. Nevertheless I managed to get most everything done before Christmas and I stayed in the holiday spirit! Our highlight and big family gift was a trip to Disneyland! I wrote about this on my Dec.16 blog , extolling our enthusiasm to see the Magic Kingdom all decked out for the holidays, and talking about our planned adventures. Every last moment was as magical and special as we anticipated. Dinner at the Blue Bayou was phenom...

Loving Mr. Darcy is EVERYWHERE!!

All together now: AWESOME! Yep indeedy, the day has finally arrived. That date we authors circle on the calendar in bright red felt-ink months in advance. Then we watch it c-r-e-e-e-e-e-p Oh-so gradually until … BAM! … We are hit with guest blogs, interviews, reviews, more guest blogs, launch parties, book signings, and a dozen more guest blogs until our head explodes! Yet none of the craziness takes away from the joy of seeing your book on a shelf and hearing from fans when they get their pre-orders. My author’s copies arrived yesterday - *insert hysterical screaming and giddy dancing here* - and the emails started the day before: “I got my copy today from Barnes & Noble in Clifton, NJ. They had to go get it from the back because they hadn't unpa cked it yet! Will start reading it tonight!” “It is already on the shelves in 2 Barnes & Nobles in Cincinnati!” “My book arrived today. It looks fabulous!!” “My copy has arrived - and is gorgeous!!” “Saw it at B&N at Por...

"Loving Mr. Darcy" Launch in 3 DAYS!!!

On September 1 my second novel will be officially released! Loving Mr. Darcy: Journeys Beyond Pemberley continues on where the first novel – Mr. and Mrs. Fitzwilliam Darcy: Two Shall Become One – ended. And, in just 4 months the third book in the series will be out. What a year this has been! My head is spinning and I can’t quite wrap my mind around the fact that I am now a multi-published author. Surreal. I am very excited about this book and where I have taken the Darcys. It is a larger novel than the first, both in page number and content. The Darcys travel all over England, socialize with dozens of friends, deal with trials, and explore historical places, all while growing deeper in their love and anticipating the birth of their first child. Look for both novels at major bookstores and online sellers. It will be in Target (along with my first novel that is still there) in October. Naturally you can click over to my website to learn more of the specifics, read excerpts and reviews...
