Spring has Sprung!

I'm in my new house, spring has sprung, and I have a blank backyard. So I'm having a blast with turning it into a whimsical fairy garden. And for the first time ever, I'm growing chives, curly parsley, bell peppers, and for the first time in a very long time, tomatoes. :) I already have 3!

Added some wind chimes with glass baubles and a blue glass bottle for some interest. A sparrow jumped on the wind chimes, scared himself and jumped on the feeder while a house finch watched him. The fairy wind chimes didn’t scare them off. And then goldfinches arrived.

These are the copper ones on the other bird feeder.

And the fairies are watching over the chives.

I couldn’t decide, have everything blend in or be bright and colorful and whimsical? The fairy garden won out. :)
Lavender and roses! I ran out of stones, and I'm still removing some of the grass. But it's shaping up!
And added more flowering plants to the front bed.
So if spring hasn't come to your neck of the woods, it will soon! It's already hot here!

A Very Jaguar Christmas cover was approved! And I'm sure as the heat stays and it no longer cools down at night, I'll be wishing I was in his arms in the snow in Minnesota on a cold winter's night.
Wouldn't you like to get him for a Christmas present??? :)

Have a great day!!!

  1. I'm right there with you on the garden happiness, Terry. I see green tips sprouting from my tulip bed and I started planning my front flower beds. Spring makes me happy!

  3. Love your garden, so pretty! I've started buying plants, but it is supposed to rain (2-5") in my area tomorrow so I'm holding off on planting for now!

  4. Your spring has sprung much further than ours. We can see hints of blossoms on the trees and the daffodils have cropped up, but we're still waiting for the rest. It doesn't help that our temperatures were below freezing last night. So, thank you for letting me look at your pretty garden while I wait for warmer weather. :-)

  6. So pretty. Our spring is just barely showing. I am in Iowa and we are still getting so night of freezing and can't plant any flowers outside yet. Can't wait for warmer weather to visit the Flower garden and stock up
