I Admit It...I'm an Addict by Shana Galen

I have a problem. Admitting it is the first step, right? Okay, so I'm addicted to news and photos of the Duchess of Cambridge (that's Kate Middleton to those of you who aren't royal watchers). This grand tour of New Zealand and Australia has been a boon for those of us who get jittery when we go too long without any photos or news of Kate.

Obviously, this letter in the Times indicates that not everyone is eating up all the media attention the duchess receives.

Have to love that dry British wit. The Brits are better known for humor than style, but Kate Middleton may very well be changing that image. Take a look at a few of the outfits she wore on the tour.

These two make me want to buy a few dozen hats.

This Diane von Furstenberg dress was so popular it sold out 8 seconds after Kate was pictured wearing it.

This photo proves that hats and puppies are the ultimate accessories.

Seriously, furry animals are always in style, even a bilby (who had ever heard of them before this trip?).

Kids are pretty cute accessories too.

Whose style do you most admire?

  1. I'm with you, Shana. The Duchess is so very watchable. And I think she and William are being smart about guarding their family life too. What a lovely couple.

  2. Thanks, Shana. I'm pretty uncomfortable with the idea of a monarchy in the 21st century. But even I dig photos like these. Kate is so beautiful, so stylish, so charming. And little Prince George is seriously cute!

    1. Oh, I think the monarchy is more for show and tradition than anything else. It's their celebrities.

  4. Very lovely couple, and such a cute little George. As far as style, I like Kate Winslet's style and I like her for speaking out against photoshopping and airbrushing. I'm sure she's often photoshopped anyway, but I like to be reminded that what we see on magazine covers is often far from reality.

  5. The best accessory was that last picture. A big "Ohhhhh SOOO Cute!" There's nothing like a baby's smile draped over his mum's shoulder. Thanks for the pics. I got my fix.
