How’s that for a hook? (And, yes, I do giggle every time I use the word “hook” in a context other than sea-related, why do you ask?)
As you can see, I got my book cover, and, to celebrate, I just had to put it on my NEW website. And of course, you can’t launch a new website AND a new cover without something stupendous, so….
Go to http://www.judifennell.com/ and see all about my promotional contest for my Mer books. You can win one of THREE romantic getaways at Bed & Breakfasts in the areas where my stories are set.
The Atlantis Inn (http://www.atlantisinn.com/) in Ocean City, NJ and the Hibiscus House (http://www.hibiscushouse.com/) in West Palm Beach, FL have joined with me to offer you a two-night stay at their beautiful resorts. You can see all the rules and beautiful pictures, as well as be able to register at (http://judifennell.com/contest.html . We’re working on having local restaurants chime in, maybe a spa or two…one never knows. And, who knows, I might just pull a few names here and there for some other “sea” themed things.
And for the requisite blog question – I’ll take all opinions about Reel and the rest of the cover. But let me answer my friend Joanne’s right up front: No I don’t know him and what would your husband say if you met him?

Wow! Offering trips to resorts--that's promotion!
ReplyDeleteThe cover model is [fans face] OH YEAH and I love the way the title looks. I would pick up that book just because the cover looks interesting.
Super promotion, Judi, and a really great tie-in to your books. Your cover is gorgeous. If my husband thought I knew this guy? He'd say, "Tell him to put a shirt on."
ReplyDeleteHi ladies!
ReplyDeleteI have to give props to Kelley St. John - she shared her info at National regarding this type of promotion. I'm just thrilled the Atlantis Inn and Hibiscus House are along for the ride!
I'm off to the NJ Conference, but will be checking in as I can. Have a great weekend and don't forget to enter the contest!
Judi, I often buy books based on the covers. Even if I hadn't had the privilege of reading this through the GATHER contest, I am SURE I would have picked up this one based on the cover. WHEW--what a rush!
ReplyDeleteWow Judi! Gorgeous cover, although you know I prefer men a little more hirsute, ut I wouldn't throw this one out either! I love the font (like waves!), and the cover quote! I'm already entered in your great contest!
ReplyDeleteI don't remember signing a release to allow my picture of the cover of your book, which I will now have to read to see if it does me justice.
ReplyDeleteLove the contest idea.
Oh... the cover is so beautiful, and yummy looking. I can't wait to get my copy Judi.
ReplyDeleteThe contest looks like fun.
That is a great cover! Makes you want to go jump in the ocean - and what better way than via one of the resorts in your contest!
ReplyDeleteGreat cover and contest.
ReplyDeleteJudi, I love it! The guy is gorgeous, naturally, but the under-the-sea background really gives it that something special. Sourcebooks design did it again! Great promotional ideas!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhh Judi! If that cover doesn't grab everyone's attention nothing will. YUMM! YUMM!
ReplyDeletehuggs,
Terra
