It’s finally release day for HER FIERCE WARRIOR, Book 4 in my action-packed X-OPS Series,  and I couldn’t be more excited to share Minka and Angelo’s story with you!  I know that so many of you have been waiting for it.   If you’ve read the first three books in the X-OPS series in the series, you know Minka was grabbed up by the psycho doctors from Book 1 and experimented on. They turned her into a monster (as far as she’s concerned). She’s a gentle soul who never wanted to hurt anyone. But now there’s a hybrid creature living inside her and when that creature takes over, all Minka can do is sit there trapped in her head and watch. That is, until Special Forces soldier Angelo Rios comes along. There’s something about him that calms the beast and Minka’s greatest hope is that he’ll be able to help her get control of this monster inside of her.  I hope you enjoy reading their story as much as I enjoyed writing it! Minka Pajari isn't sure she should trust the se...

After meeting Kendra and Declan in HER PERFECT MATE (X-OPS 1), I knew they were going to end up together.  Which was why it was so hard to keep it a secret when readers asked which guy the DCO’s resident Jill-of-all-trades was going to fall for. But while I knew Kendra and Declan were going to end up together, y ou wouldn’t believe how difficult it was actually getting them together. Those two definitely didn’t make it easy for me, but there story was well worth the wait! Name: Kendra Carlsen Rank: Trainer, Dept. of Covert Ops Objective: Get out of the office and into the field Name: Declan MacBride Rank: Tracker, Dept. of Covert Ops Status: Bear Shifter Objective: Protect Kendra at all costs The steamy Costa Rican jungle brings out the bear in Declan MacBride when he ...

With all the "Billionaire" books out there, it made me wonder about white-collar versus blue-collar heroes. While I've written the occasional architect and civil engineer, I prefer to write about blue-collar heroes like military guys, cops, and cowboys. I also prefer to read about them, too. And if I wasn't quite sure, I realized that when I went to my Pinterest Board of "Hot Guys" and realized that I don't have a guy on there in a suit and tie, and I have over 800 pics on that board! How about you? Do you prefer white-collar heroes or blue-collar heroes?                        *hugs* Paige Hunky Heroes, Kickbutt Heroines, Unforgettable Romance http://www.paigetylertheauthor.com http://paigetylertheauthor.blogspot.com

How HER SECRET AGENT Got Its Start…or How Backstory Material Became a Book (a series of books actually) When I first started writing Book 1 in the X-OPS Series (HER PERFECT MATE, May 2014), the first few chapters practically wrote themselves. I thought I’d be done with the story—about a shadowy intelligence organization called the Department of Covert Operations (DCO) and how they teamed up an Army Special Forces soldier with a feline shifter—in no time. But when you’re planning out a book series that covers twenty or so books about a covert organization that has been in existence for over a decade, you quickly find out that you need to think about each character’s backstory a little. Actually, you need to think about it A LOT! Within the first few chapters, I found myself repeatedly referencing people and events in the DCO’s past, people and events critical to what I was writing about now. Like why does Ivy have problems with military partners (how many partners did she h...

It's release day for HER LONE WOLF , Book 2 in my action-packed X-OPS Series, and I'm so excited!  It picks up where HER PERFECT MATE , Book 1, left off, featuring the hunky, if a little moody wolf shifter Clayne Buchanan as the hero. After HER PERFECT MATE came out, Clayne was very worried that you guys might have gotten the wrong idea about him, so he’s thrilled that you’ll finally get to meet the real him. Even he admits he had a lot of baggage in the first book. But I assured him that after you read HER LONE WOLF , you’re going to fall in love with him just like a certain FBI agent he knows! If you've read HER PERFECT MATE , then you know the shifters in the X-OPS Series are a little different. They don't actually shift into an animal, but can instead take on the traits, attributes, and abilities of an animal. When I first started writing the X-OPS Series, I stumbled across an interesting article on the internet about genes and DNA and how much common buildi...

Seeing her again is even worse The last thing Clayne Buchanan wants is to be shackled to the woman who broke his heart.
