ONE DAY IN APPLE GROVE Launch + Giveaway by C.H. Admirand

Things are really hopping here down at the Apple Grove Diner! The gang is all here and Peggy and Kate have outdone themselves baking for the crowd gathered to launch Cait and Jack’s story.  They’ve even baked up a tray of bone-shaped puppy treats for Jamie, the little black ball of fuzz who stole Cait and Jack’s hearts.   So while Kate and Peggy are slicing up and dishing out man-sized servings of pie—you name it and they’ve baked it—why don’t you grab a cup of coffee or tea and pull up a chair.   RT gave ODIAG 4 and 1/2 Stars/HOT! “The talented Admirand is able to write about these serious issues realistically but in a way that makes this book still feel light and fun.” Eve Polak, RT   Here's the blurb for book 2~        Caitlin Mulcahy loves her family. She really does. But sometimes they can drive her to her last shred of sanity—from her dad ("I'm not meddling, I just want what's best for...

Hit The Ground Running + Giveaway by C.H. Admirand

It was an amazing, but exhausting trip that began last Friday just after dawn. My hubby and I drove to Wisconsin, I was invited to Barbara Vey’s Reader Appreciation Luncheon, and couldn’t wait to attend. Mary Burton and I co-hosted a table of readers. I gave away ARCs for ONE DAY IN APPLE GROVE with heart-shaped measuring spoons and bracelet & earring sets that my daughter designed. Here’s a pic of what we gave away :) I had a blast filling a pretty wallpapered box with goodies for the door prize…with all three of my contemporary cowboy books and the first two books in my contemporary small town books—plus some really fun things: measuring spoons, strawberry ceramic measuring cups, candles, Kindle Paperwhite, etc. Here’s a pic of the box, unwrapped, and then with Jenny the winner and myself. After the luncheon we jumped in the car to drive down to Kansas City, MO…let’s skip the traffic and foggy part and go straight to arriving at 1:45 a.m. on Sund...

30 Days 'Til Spring, 6 'Til the Daytona 500 and 14 Days 'Til Edits for Bk 3 are Due by C.H. Admirand

OK...I know, heck of a blog post title, but in case those of you are fans of any of those big events coming up, I thought I'd throw them in there. I can't wait for Spring--ever! Same thing happens every year, I'm not a big winter person, but will admit to enjoying the sight of snow (2" or less) blanketing the g round. The quiet while it is snowing is so utterly peaceful. I am a HUGE NASCAR fan and my driver 's chances of getting into the Chase again this year are excellent. So far, I'm not impressed with the way the Gen6 cars race, but hey, they're new so it's a learning curve for everyone. ..but the Chevy's look amazing! I'm supposed to be working on said edits for book 3 right now, but am writing a blog instead...I'm definitely sensing a pattern here. Life happens, I react and then life happens again... LOL! Maybe I should think of it as rolling with the punches. I'm delighted to have edits to work on and a wip! Then there ar...

OK…this is my brain on deadline and it’s not pretty! by C.H. Admirand

Shifting priorities, knuckling down, and doing whatever is necessary to finish the book and turn it in on time. It is point of pride and professionalism that I have never missed a deadline.  However, Mother Nature threw a monkey wrench in the works with this book when she sent Sandy careening toward NJ. We were very lucky and only lost one tree—it fell toward the backyard—and were only without power for 10 days and the internet for 12…did I mention that my poor old laptop only works when it’s plugged in?  Yeah…this is my brain on deadline…OH…and that it was right as my Virtual Tour for the first book in my Small Town Series began? Yep…Mother Nature does have a sense of humor. So mid-deadline, I had to learn how to cope with Windows 8...but had a laptop that would work on battery-mode! Yay! I love our darling grandbaby to pieces and babysit for him when his momma and daddy are at work…right before the holidays it was insane! Did I mention our darli...

Cruising toward deadline by C.H. Admirand

OK…I’ll admit to a moment of panic just now when I checked my phone and saw the calendar reminder that I had a blog tomorrow at the Casabalanca authors blog. I have no brain…it’s fully engaged in cruising toward my next deadline-May 15th- when Book 2 in my new Small Town USA series is due. I do feel sorry for my family as the date draws closer, there are more nights without a dinner plan…while I fall back on the 3 Ps—Pizza, Pasta, and Peanut Butter—hey protein keeps my guys going!   I have surfaced a few times in the last few days, but for the most part have kept my nose to the grindstone.  I’m really excited about Jack and Caitlin’s story…they are two people who have known each other all their lives…the surface kind of knowing—someone you say hello to as you pass on the street, someone who would stop to change your flat tire—but not part of your inner circle, until one day everything changes and you see that person in a whole new light…ONE DAY IN APPLE GROVE. ...
