HOT Cowboys + Giveaway by C.H. Admirand

It’s official, cowboys are HOT…for those of you who have read a western romance, this isn’t news, but for those of you who are new to western romances…the cowboy is THE quintessential American hero. They work from dawn til dark and get up again to do it all over again the next day. There are no days off…the land is a harsh mistress, but they love working their spread…their land, caring for their animals/herd, and if they are lucky enough have a good woman to stand by their side through it all. This is where I come in ready to give one of my favorite hero-types a shot at happily ever after!     Cowboys can be tough as nails when they have to…with a marshmallow center that they only show to a select few. Add a tall rangy frame, broad shoulders, and working-man’s hands and you’ve got my attention. Toss in a few character flaws and you’ve got a kick-butt story. What’s not to love?     Although the third book in my hot cowboy trilog...

Launch Party for JESSE + Givewaway by C.H. Admirand

Hold on to your horses, ladies...the youngest of the those dark-haired, dark-eyed Garahan brothers is finally getting his story told. If any of the brothers needed the love of a good woman, Jesse does, and it only took the love of two women! One a curvy blonde with a shattered marriage and big heart…and the other, her darling little three-year-old pinker-than pink cowgirl from the top of her hat to the tips of her itty, bitty boots. We’re celebrating in style, for the little ones in the crowd, there’s bright pink cotton candy and Shirley Temples and for the adults we’ve got sweet tea, and fresh squeezed lemonade, and for those of you who have been living north of the Mason/Dixon Line--unsweetened tea cold or hot. It’ll taste sooo good with the home-baked goodies I’ve brought: Chocolate chip cookies, Cream Scones, Butter Cake and Uncle Jimmy Sullivan’s Chocolate Pie. JESSE has been getting rave reviews. Here are just a few:   “Admirand shows western romance lovers ju...

Fall in Love with JESSE & Giveaway by C.H. Admirand

I fall in love with all of the heroes I write about and Jesse Garahan is no exception. To celebrate the month of love, I will be giving away and ARC of JESSE to one lucky winner, picked at random, tonight. But first, let me tell you a little bit about why I write about good-looking Irishmen. February is almost over and the most changeable of months is almost upon us...March...a month that is forever tied with my Celtic ancestors. But to tell you the truth, I celebrate my Irish pride 365 days of the year. One of my writing quirks is that I love to include bits and pieces of my ancestors and Celtic ancestry in all of my books and the Secret Life of Cowboys trilogy does just that! I love writing about family and when Tyler Garahan first started talking to me, I just knew he'd have to have brothers. Before I had settled on the fact that he wasn't going to be an only child, Dylan and Jesse started arguing to get my attention. And so the dark haired, dark eyed, Irish cowboys...

Launch Party and Giveaway for DYLAN by C.H. Admirand

Welcome back to Pleasure, Texas! So much has happened since you were last here and were introduced to Garahan brothers and the Circle G. Emily and Tyler are doing just fine thank you, and loving every minute they get to spend together. Their love is like a shining beacon that Tyler’s brothers envy at first, but then come to understand as they meet someone uniquely special in their own lives. Dylan is the middle brother—the quiet one (my mom always told me to watch out for the quiet ones. I did and when Dave walked into my life, I knew I’d have to marry that man.) Dylan’s last night working at the Lucky Star has him prepped to lasso the birthday girl. Jolene promises that he’ll recognize her the moment he sees her. Sure enough, a blonde, a brunette, and a redhead walk into the bar—but there’s just something different about the brunette—could be the blindfold.  Instead of me telling you what happens, why don’t you read an excerpt from their first meeting? Dylan Garah...

Mini-Indulgences by C.H. Admirand

When I started thinking of ways to pamper myself or indulge myself, I kept coming up against the same road block--I have too many responsibilities to think about just me. I can't even remember a time when I wasn't the responsible one. I really can't complain, because I love my life and all of the craziness. While I wish my Mom's health wasn't quite so fragile, she's still a part of my life--although I have to work hard to remember that fact when she's driving me crazy, remembering items she forgot to add to the grocery list on Tuesday mornings, when I take her shopping on Mondays! We have three wonderful children that we are so proud of, but as any parent knows the job is 24/7, and does not end when your children turn 18--or even 21! Their problems are far more intense now that they are all in their mid to late twenties. Our family is very close, and our three darlings do turn to us for advice (not that they listen LOL!) and for help, if they need it.;) No...

Beginnings: Looking Ahead 48 Days Until Spring! by C.H. Admirand

Now that all of the delici ous Christmas baked goods and candies have been consumed, and I’m back to paying attention to what I eat (and yes that means joining Weight Watchers…for the 3rd and final time!) winter has lost most of its appeal for me. While I don’t like snow, ice, wind, or cold weather, I really do enjoy those warmish days ahea d when the sun is bright overhead reflecting off the snow that is left on the ground, creating a fabulously clean, fresh landscape pleasing to the eye and to one’s sense of smell. Just look at this poor chilly Blue Jay trying to warm up on our front steps. But I m iss my flowers. So looking ahead toward one of my favorite ti mes of the year, Spring, I thought I’d post a couple of pictur es in and around our yard taken during the Spring and Summer months. Every once in awhile, I remember to go grab my camera when a Swallowtail Butterfly or Dragonfly land in the Butterfly bushes surrounding our Bluestone patio. So looking ahead until Spring and...
