Excerpt and a #Contest! VETERAN MOVERS by Marie Harte

I'm a sucker for a great hero, and I'm especially fond of military veterans, having served myself. My latest release from Sourcebooks, SMOOTH MOVES , pits a USMC hero against and Army heroine, and the jabs, comebacks, and laughter flow freely among friends and family. But when it comes down to falling in love, Cash, the hero will have to woo Jordan, the heroine—not an easy feat considering the ex-Army MP can take down a man in seconds. Check out this excerpt and enter to win a $10 Amazon e-gift card below! Smith left them, and Cash glared at Smith’s back until he disappeared into the office. “I hate that guy.” “I think the feeling is mutual.” Jordan wondered why. “Has he been bothering you?” The look in Cash’s dark-green eyes warned her the man spoiled for a fight. “Nope. He’s easy to get along with.” Cash seemed disappointed. “Oh.” “And he rarely talks. We got the Jasper job done in one day. Would have been back sooner, but traffic sucked.” He let ...

It's Never Too Early For Halloween--Win A Treat!

For a chance to win a print ARC* of ALL I WANT FOR HALLOWEEN, comment below: What's the best costume you ever wore for Halloween? Yes, I said it. It's never too early for Halloween. At least, not for me. It's my favorite holiday, followed closely by Christmas and my birthday (because yeah, that's a holiday too.) I'm a huge fan of candy, scares, and fun. And Halloween has it all. This is the one holiday I'm okay with the big stores putting out decorations months early. Just last night I was talking to a friend about the Halloween party she went to last year, and it sounded amazing. Normally I get my thrills giving out candy since my kids are old enough to trick or treat themselves. And yes, I'm always in costume. And not the slinky, sexy lady costumes. Oh no. I'm the demon under the mask, the hairy werewolf with huge teeth, or the zombie nun who'll make you eat those prayer beads. When the opportunity to write a contemporary...

Vampires, Cocktails, and a Contest! by Sara Humphreys

Hooray! VAMPIRE TROUBLE is here! Whoo hoo!  This is the second book in the Dead in the City series and I can't wait for readers to dig into Shane and Maya's story. These two are opposites in just about every way.  She was turned five years ago and he's been a vamp for four centuries.  He's a badass vampire sentry and essentially a registered lethal weapon with a cold calculating demeanor. Maya is a bartendaer at The Coven, a vampire run nightclub in NYC, and an incorrigible flirt with a penchant for troublemaking. She is, quite literally, a man-eater. But there is more to these two than meets the eye and watching them reveal one another creates quite a ride--at least I hope it does! *** Blurb... A fledgling vampire ignites a war... Maya remembers the last moments of her life as a human with haunting clarity, and every man she meets pays the price...until Shane. Finding herself in the middle of a bloody fight between vampires and werewolves, Maya has no...

The Geek Girls are a-changin'... CONTEST!

It's a call that authors both dread and long for... Hey author, that series you write? We want to rebrand it. As you can see, book three in the "Geek Girls" series was titled THE GEEK GIRL AND THE RELUCTANT RAKE, and given a super-cute cover. Nice, huh? BUT, I've got some news.  Sourcebooks has decided that the Geek Girls series needs a fresh look and a new push. This is great! Sadly, this cute cover won't see the shelves, but with a new look and a different title, more people will get to experience Ella and Patrick's love story, so I couldn't be more thrilled.  Do YOU have a great idea for a new title for the third Geek Girl book? Here's your chance to be a part of the series! For every title idea you send me, you'll get one entry. On February 14th (deadline has been extended for those of you who entered via my newsletter!) , I'll select a winner using  random.org . That winner will get a Gina Lamm & Regina Cole prize pack with book...

Launch Party & #Giveaway by @TraceyDevlyn

Launch Party & Giveaway by Tracey Devlyn I’m so excited to be back on the Casa blog and introducing you to A Lady’s Secret Weapon , the third book in my Nexus series. Writing Ethan deBeau’s story was both a challenge and great fun. Because he’d made special appearances in A Lady’s Revenge and Checkmate, My Lord , I thought it would be a cinch to craft his journey. Not so. The more I wrote, the more I realized that I’d barely touched the surface of who Ethan was in my previous books. When it came time to dig in and get to know my reluctant boudoir spy, I found myself paralyzed by the prospect. So many readers had written to let me know how much they were looking forward to Ethan’s story. I was terrified I would disappoint them. Pushing through my fear, I finally found my loyal, tenderhearted, courageous Ethan. Then I found Sydney Hunt for him. Sydney carries many of the same endearing traits as Ethan, plus she’s an intelligent businesswoman, who often ...
