Wolves, Jaguars, What Else Could You Ask For?

I took this picture at a wolf reserve in Omaha. He's a gray wolf, though mostly black, and the alpah male.

Silence of the Wolf just came out.

SILENCE OF THE WOLF BY TERRY SPEAR – IN STORES MARCH 2014
Life For the Silver Pack Just Got Wilder…
Elizabeth Wildwood has been a longer all her life, ostracized because of her “mixed” half-wolf, half-coyote blood. When she ventures into gray wolf territory on a dangerous quest of her own and his thrown together with the sexiest shifter she’s ever met she begins to wish for the first time that she could be part of a family.
When this unusual shifter female comes into his pack’s territory, it’s Tom Silver’s job to protect her—if only she would let him.
Praise for Silence of the Wolf:
“The outstanding and gripping plot of Spear’s latest installment in the Heart of the Wolf series will appeal to paranormal fans, and romance junkies will take delight in the red-hot love story embedded within.” —RT Book Reviews, 4 Stars

Jaguar Hunt is coming out in June.

And I caught a beautiful shot of a jaguar taking a drink of water. I asked if anyone thought this might be David. One of my friends and fans said I need to show a tail end shot to determine it.

Well, it just so happens, that's what I usually take! Not on purpose. By the time the camera focuses, I've got the rump again.

So could this be David??? She said yes! I was telling my friend who went with me to the zoo that day about it as we walked through the arboretum this week and she laughed and said, "Yeah, he had all the right equipment."

Huh.

You see, that's the problem with taking pictures. I might get the shots, but I really don't see the picture! :)

Such is life in the shifter lane. :)

Do you ever feel you've missed the picture when taking pictures?

  2. Hi Terry. Love you books. I vividly remember you writing about a snake you found. Shudder. Can you tell I do not like snakes? lol

Can not wait to read your Cougar series. Or the next: Wolf, Jaguar. etc..

    1. Hey, Sin, the two snakes in the house were a little much. I got the one out of the house without any trouble. The second one in the house--when it coiled into a snake-biting machine, it was time to find a hero. :) Thanks so much for loving my books!

  3. Hey Terry! I loved Silence of the Wolf :) My favorite thing on the page is the comment. I can just see a bunch of people acting out books for authors, too funny!

  4. I can't wait to read Cougar's Mate. I've loved everything else you've wrote, so I'm sure this will be no different. Hope the weather down where you are wasn't too bad. We had golf ball size hail in some of the places near here. I'm glad we got some much needed rain without the hail.

    1. Thanks so much, Stephanie! Yes, on the hail! I saw that on the weather report. I hope you didn't get any damage from that. We didn't even get any rain this time, despite the weather looking so severe. We have more storms coming in this weekend though. :) And my daughter and SIL are visiting, which means taking their Welsh Pembroke Corgi out in the rain for walks.

  5. Terry - Every day I look forward to your posts... Your pics are just beautiful... AND I love to read about your books ... what you're writing... and about what I've not listened to or read yet... Love your books! AND you're the one that turned me on to audio books... I never thought I'd have time to listen to them! Now I exercise to them, cook to them, garden to them, drive to them and sometimes lay in bed listening to them. I'm hooked... :-))) TU!

    1. Ahh, thanks so much, Linda!! I get behind some days, but I have fun blogging. Audiobooks are sooo much fun! I wish my wolf and jaguar series were in audio. The first I ever listened to was one of Allison Brennan's stories, and after that, I couldn't get enough. I was painting a room and wanted to paint the rest of my house while finishing up her book. :) I'm thrilled you are loving them!

  7. Sometimes the picture you didn't intend to take turns out to be an improvement. That's even before you start to consider the negotiation value of catching a sibling in a picture they'd prefer to forget. I have a few "oops" pictures that hold some priceless memories. (And that's besides the sibling bait.)
