A Wild Schedule for the Year and Next--and Jaguar Hunt is OUT!

When I stopped working the day job, one of the things I wanted to do was go to more reader conventions. Before that, I was working 40 hours a week on the day job, and 40 hours a week at writing, editing, and promoting. I knew something had to give. The day job was out and full-time writing was in. I spend 80 hours a week at writing, editing, and promoting. And I love it!  My promoting can be taking a trip to the zoo and posting pictures about it. Or of the stormy sky. Or downtown New Orleans, or of the Chicago skyline, or flowers in my garden. It's not all about writing about my books, but about me, my interests, and such. I love to share what I get to see with readers and hope they enjoy it too.    I went out to take pictures of the corn because it has gotten so tall and I caught these bunnies instead. Forget about the corn. :)  Okay, so here's one of the corn and the bunnies. They just hung around and even got really close.   Chicago on...

Jaguar Hunt is Here! Well, Tomorrow!

When I write a story, I really get into them.  And when I started Jaguar Hunt, I had two goals in mind: find the missing zoo cat from Jaguar Fever and discover what had happened to Maya and Connor's parents. Note: When I write a book, I have no clue myself. I don't plot out a book. I couldn't. So I started out with how the characters begin the story.  What David is up to, and what Tammy has to do. David has been assigned the case of watching two jaguar shifter teens that are bound to get themselves into real trouble, and one more infraction of their laws, and he's got to take them in to headquarters where the director of the JAG branch will decide what to do with them. Much like what happened to David and Wade when they were teens. So see? It came back to bite him. He learns the kids know something about the case that Tammy's working on. The case of the missing zoo jaguar. So he calls his boss to let him know he wants to be teamed up with her, because now h...

The Jaguars are Coming!!!

More to come! August: A Hero of a Highland Wolf, October: A Highland Wolf Christmas But first the jaguars are coming! June 4! I have to say that I'm getting confused. I turned in Jaguar Pride a little bit ago. That one is coming in Feb of next year and it's about Costa Rica. Jaguar Hunt and Jaguar Fever are set in Belize. I'm not getting the stories confused. All I have to think of is David, JAG agent, being in jail and Tammy, Enforcer agent, has to get him out, a trail of condoms (you have to read the story), a missing zoo jaguar, and I've got the right story--Jaguar Hunt. But I keep thinking Jaguar Fever is coming out next. It came out, already, I keep reminding myself! That one was about David's brother Wade. David kept trying to take over the story with his humorous antics. Because of that, and you notice the smirk on the cover?--he had to be in jail when Tammy first hooks up with him. And she's NOT happy about it. She's already had troub...

Wolves, Jaguars, What Else Could You Ask For?

I took this picture at a wolf reserve in Omaha. He's a gray wolf, though mostly black, and the alpah male. Silence of the Wolf just came out. SILENCE OF THE WOLF BY TERRY SPEAR – IN STORES MARCH 2014 Life For the Silver Pack Just Got Wilder… Elizabeth Wildwood has been a longer all her life, ostracized because of her “mixed” half-wolf, half-coyote blood. When she ventures into gray wolf territory on a dangerous quest of her own and his thrown together with the sexiest shifter she’s ever met she begins to wish for the first time that she could be part of a family. When this unusual shifter female comes into his pack’s territory, it’s Tom Silver’s job to protect her—if only she would let him. Praise for Silence of the Wolf: “The outstanding and gripping plot of Spear’s latest installment in the Heart of the Wolf series will appeal to paranormal fans, and romance junkies will take delight in the red-hot love story embedded within.” — RT Book Reviews, 4 Sta...
