I loved reading the teen books Nightshade and Wolfsbane by Cremer, and The Scorpio Races by another author, that I can't recall. But loved the romance and paranormal aspect!
ReplyDeleteI just finished Scarlet by A.C. Gaughen. I really enjoyed the story and the romance in it was great too!
ReplyDelete- Jessica @ Book Sake
The last few books I read was Cinder by Marissa Meyer, Midnight Reckoning by Kendra Leigh Castle and Mermaid: A Twist on the Classic Tale by Carolyn Turgeon. I'm going to start reading Undertow by Cherry Adair.
ReplyDeleteI just read SHATTERED SOULS and THE INTERNATIONAL KISSING CLUB. Both were great!
ReplyDeleteI have found YA books to be quite fun and edgy. The romances take me back to those first experiences of dating and falling in love. It is fun. Rachel Caine and her Morganville Vampires was my introduction into interesting YA books.

I love romance books. Right now I am reading a bunch of freebees on my kindle. I am reading Chashing Rainbows.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been reading a lot of YA lately although I do have a PC & Kristen Cast on my more urgent TBR pile (because it's from the library!). Just finished Emma Wildes' Twice Fallen, Desiree Holt's Erected and am starting Carol Berg's Daemon Prism, Kathryne Kennedy's Lord of Illusion and Suzanne Rock's Velvet Steel (-:
ReplyDeleteWell of course there was the Hunger Games that I really enjoyed. To be honest I read so much I don't always remember if what I'm reading is YA or not. I think YA's are definitely just as good for adults as other genres. I've not read any of the ones mentioned above but they sound like wonderful reads.

ReplyDeleteI am reading Unleashed by Nancy Holder and loving it. These look like great titles. I have had my eye on Embrace not only does it sound fabulous, but that cover is breathtaking!

I just read Catching Jordan a few days ago and really enjoyed it. I love Jordan and her friends. The book definitely revived my love of YA fiction. I'm looking forward for the next book now.
ReplyDeleteI'm currently reading Natural Born Charmer by Susan Elizabeth Phillips.

Right now I'm reading "Ten Things we Did That we Probably shouldn't have" and "Everneath".
ReplyDeleteI admit I've only been reading so much YA for about 4 years, but there seems to have been a huge outpouring of stories that are more complex, gripping and that don't treat the teen reader like they only have one thing on their minds all the time.
