Launch Party and Giveaway for DYLAN by C.H. Admirand

Welcome back to Pleasure, Texas! So much has happened since you were last here and were introduced to Garahan brothers and the Circle G. Emily and Tyler are doing just fine thank you, and loving every minute they get to spend together. Their love is like a shining beacon that Tyler’s brothers envy at first, but then come to understand as they meet someone uniquely special in their own lives. Dylan is the middle brother—the quiet one (my mom always told me to watch out for the quiet ones. I did and when Dave walked into my life, I knew I’d have to marry that man.) Dylan’s last night working at the Lucky Star has him prepped to lasso the birthday girl. Jolene promises that he’ll recognize her the moment he sees her. Sure enough, a blonde, a brunette, and a redhead walk into the bar—but there’s just something different about the brunette—could be the blindfold.  Instead of me telling you what happens, why don’t you read an excerpt from their first meeting? Dylan Garah...

I'm Thankful For Our Faithful Dog, Chickens, and Deadlines by C.H. Admirand

I’m so thankful our dog wakes me up between midnight and one o’clock every morning—if she didn’t I wouldn’t have a blog written for today—which reminds me of chickens! Whenever I get distracted halfway through a thought, our oldest just looks at me, smiles and says,  “There goes another chicken.” I guess you’d have to have met my fabulously supportive and wonderful family to understand them. I’d be lost without them…even if I have to put up with a lot of good-natured ribbing. I’m thankful for deadlines, opportunities, and a fabulous editor, Deb Werksman. This has been a whirlwind year for me. I’ve been given the opportunity to write for an editor who understands where I am coming from, but more, has taught me to dig even deeper to write stories that a year ago would not have been possible. I loved every minute I spent in Pleasure, Texas with the Garahan brothers: TYLER, DYLAN and JESSE. With Deb’s guidance, I have reached another milestone in my career: Receiving 4...

Fallin in love with my hero...again by C.H. Admirand

What is your definition of a hero?  Merriam Webster breaks down their definition of a hero in three parts: 1.)   The mythological or legendary figure 2.)   The principal male character in a literary or dramatic work 3.)   The submarine (as in sandwich)…FYI: I grew up in northern NJ, and we do NOT call them heroes up here…only subs. But then Webster breaks down the mythological or legendary figure into four other parts: 1.)   He is often of divine descent endowed with great strength or ability 2.)   He could also be an illustrious warrior 3.)   He could also be a man admired for his achievements and noble qualities 4.)   And lastly is a man who shows great courage.   My hubby is my hero for many reasons, some of which I might be coerced into sharing over a pint or two of Guinness… but I digress. Recently when I was at the point of pulling my hair out, or simply breaking down due to the ...

Is it hot in here? by C.H. Admirand

I’m on deadline with book three of my series: The Secret Life of Cowboys and Deb just emailed the cover to me a few days ago…isn’t he hot???   Don’t you just love the pickup truck? But then again...Dylan's cover is pretty hot, too! But to be fair...I really loved Tyler's too. So many hot cowboys...so little time! Since the second book, Dylan, comes out in January, I wanted to share an excerpt. (it's G-rated):        Dylan Garahan narrowed his gaze trying to focus in the glare of the spotlight, searching the crowd for her face. It was time for the big move in his act—the show-stopper.        Where was she?        Jolene would kill him if he messed this up, but he’d made it through the last two nights and would make it through tonight. The redheaded owner of the club should have no complaints about the middle Garahan brother not keeping his word or holding up his end of the bargai...
