Springtime recipe: Cucumber Sandwiches

Aside from being buried in several projects at once and having no exciting adventures to tell, I decided I'd herald in Spring with a good recipe.

Not my picture, I still have no camera. Besides, mine have the skin peeled off

1 thin baguette
1-2 cucumbers, depending on size
4 oz cream cheese
2 Tbs cider vinegar
2 Tbs butter
2 tbs mayonnaise
a few drops Worcestershire sauce
garlic salt
seasoned salt
dill weed

Lightly toast the baguette and then slice it evenly. Lightly butter each slice.
Peel cucumber and slice it in half lengthwise to scoop out the seeds.
Slice cucumber halves
Mix all other ingredients in a bowl and season to taste.
Spread mixture on buttered slices and add pieces of cucumber.

  1. That looks so yummy (and easy, which is essential for me). Thanks!

  2. Holy cucumber sandwiches, Batman! That looks fabulous!

  3. Well, it's a bit chilly around here at the moment, but come warm weather, cucumber sandwiches are such a deliciously ladylike treat. And this sounds like a particularly delicious version. Thank you!

  4. I want these right now...I think my characters are going to eat them in the next scene...thank you Brooklyn Ann!

  5. Now this is helping me feel like spring is really here. As long as I don't go outside.

  6. While I am flattered that you liked my image enough to use it, I do not appreciate that you did not post credit for who did take it, not that you have hot linked the image from my site. Please remove it, or at the very least post a link to the page you got it from.
