I'm so excited that Hot Ticket is finally in the hands of my fans. They have been waiting for this book for-freaking-ever. It was originally supposed to be released in October of 2011. And stuff happened. And the release was delayed. So when I say it's a relief that this book has finally seen the light of day, that is the understatement of the century. I feel like a giant boulder has been lifted from my shoulders. Especially since the book has been so well-received. Woot! The fans love it. Yes, some of them devoured it on release day (yesterday), and are already spouting their love for Sinners' bass guitarist, Jace Seymour. *takes a deep breath* I was a little worried. He's not your typical romance hero, but that's what I love most about him. He's different. Quiet. Shy. And short. Yep, he's only 5'6". But we're not shallow, so we don't care. We love him for what he is on the inside. Well, the outside is pretty cute too.
I don't know if other authors spend the weeks before a new release obsessively checking reviews, but I do. After the book comes out, I'm much less inclined to frantically refresh the reviews posted on Goodreads (and much more inclined to frantically refresh the sales ranking on Amazon). So yeah, that huge burden of "what are they saying about my book!?" and "is anyone going to buy this one?" is gone. Maybe I can concentrate on some writing now.
Am I prattling? I'm prattling.
I should prattle about the book.
Here's the smoking HAWT cover.
Here's a lovely synopsis.
There are things in bassist Jace Seymour’s past that he is unwilling to share with anyone. To cover his guilt and anguish, he seeks dominatrix Mistress V (Aggie) to temporarily placate his inner turmoil.
Aggie doesn’t have much use for men–besides the power rush she gets when they’re begging for mercy at her feet–but Jace isn’t like her usual clients. His cool defiance and unexpected dominance in the bedroom drives her to distraction and quickly steals her heart.
When circumstances threaten Jace’s position in Sinners, Aggie must help him regain his rightful place in the band while showing him that time and love can heal all wounds.
Prepare yourself for an emotional ride! And some hot and steamy sex scenes. And some hot and steamy love scenes. Yes, there is a difference.
I'll stop prattling about the book and prattle about a giveaway now.
Since most of the people who comment on my posts already bought the book (I love you fangirls!), I'm giving away a $15 gift card to either Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Kobo or iTunes. That way, if you want this book, you can buy it in either paperback or ebook. Or if you want to start with the first book in the series, Backstage Pass, you can get that one. Or if you've read every book I've ever written and want to buy some playlist songs to accompany your reading enjoyment, go buy yourself some new songs. Playlists are at this link! Or maybe you want some scented oils in your bath while you read Hot Ticket. A pacifier to placate the baby while you read? Or you want to gift this book to a friend. Whatever. The choice is yours. Spend it all in one place.
Enter to win the $15 gift card by answering this all important question: Who is more likely to wear the cuffs in your bedroom? You or your significant other?
Are you from outside the US? You can win too. I won't hold your choice of continent against you.
I'll announce the winner tomorrow here on this post, also on Olivia Cunning's page on Facebook and Twitter. So if you don't already follow me or the Casablanca Authors blog, now would be a good time to do so. If you don't claim your prize within 24-hours, I'll choose a new winner.
Happy reading! I hope you love Jace as much as I do.

This cover would suggest there's bondage involved. Why, yes, there is. And does the heroine have a riding crop? Oh, yes, she does. And she's not afraid to use it.

Happy Release Day!! My current release hadn't been delayed as long as yours, but my fans were the same way--disappointed! :) And I have the same modis operandi (sp?)---check reviews, check sales stats. I try not to. It drives me crazy. But I like to save the lowest Amazon ranking the book can get and keep it as a keepsake! I was too busy to do it with A SEAL in Wolf's Clothing and that made the bestseller list--so I don't know how low it got! :)
ReplyDeleteHandcuffs? My wolves absolutely don't believe in them. In the current story, I mention them and how the hero would chew them off if he was ever manacled. LOL :) They're too wild to be confined. :)
Happy, happy launch day! WOWOWOW! Looks to me like this is one boilin' HOT, scorchin' HOT, steamin' HOT book that should be sold with oven mitts! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a terrific series, Olivia. Glad to see another member of the band hit the shelves--wish they belonged to at least a chamber orchestra though (eleven players, minimum, right?)
ReplyDeleteAnd as for your question, the only beast in my bedroom these days is Chloe Upstairs Kit-teh, and putting the cuffs on her would be a dubious undertaking.
Congratulations on another fabulous release, Olivia! That cover is smokin'!!!!
ReplyDeleteMega congrats on the new release! I can definitely relate to the reviews/ranking thing! Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm not the only author who obsesses over these things. It's hovering between #45 and #47 on Amazon Kindle. Not sure if it's peaked yet.
ReplyDeleteGrace I am cracking up picturing you attempting to put cuffs on your cat.
Thanks for the congrats, ladies. Off to check Amazon again...
I am definitely the one who would wear the cuffs in my bedroom ;-)
ReplyDeletecongrats . I would have to say it wouldn't be me in handcuffs. Love the hot cover...
ReplyDeleteAmazing book...loved it! All I wanted to do was hug Jace. That ending had me in tears...and waiting on pins and needles for Eric's book! About those handcuffs well I don't have any use for them unless they come with Sed attached!
ReplyDeleteHappy Release Day!!!! My significant other. LOL
ReplyDeleteIt would probably me be wearing the cuffs! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy release day!!!! This cover is super sexy!! I don't have a significant other...but if I did...we would both take turns wearing the cuffs :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!
I would be the one wearing the cuffs. I love the Sinners series and have been waiting for Jace's book. I know it will be scorching hot!
ReplyDeleteHappy release day!!! Love your books! Trey has been my favorite so far but I think he has some competiton with Jace!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Release Day.....!!! The answer to that question - Definitely me ;)

What a smokin' hot cover! WOW!!
ReplyDeleteI would have to say, that I just might be the one to volunteer to wear the cuffs. :-)
Thanks for the giveaway!
My husband prefers to wear restraints more then he likes for me to wear them. :) I got a few ideas from Hot Ticket hehehe
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to read this!
ReplyDeleteHandcuffs? Definitely not me. If there's going to be handcuffs, it will be my partner wearing it for sure.
:) joannecareri@gmail.com
Around here it depends on what kind of mood I'm in. But lately I'm thinking it'll be him.
ReplyDeleteMe. My husband would not want to be restrained.
ReplyDeleteCrystal816[at]hotmail[dot]com
I would be the one to wear the handcuffs :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to read this one and looking forward to our chat tomorrow night on DANL!
ReplyDeleteI can't put Hot Ticket down!! Love it.
ReplyDeleteI would be the one in handcuffs!! LOL
OMG!! I'm behind on books, so many hot lovers out there. I'm excited, I still need to get caught up with the Sinners Sed , and now Jace is here, he's intrigued me from the first moment our eyes met across that smoke filled room. I know he'll be worth that wait. I know I'd be the one to do the restraining. Looking forward to picking up "Hot Ticket" dmf747@comcast.net
ReplyDeleteUm, fanning myself at that cover! Goodness :-) Happy release day :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, my! What a hot cover! I can see it sailing all the way to the top of the charts! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteAmelia
My significant other would adamantly refuse to wear the cuffs, so if those were involved they'd likely be on me.

He get cuffed!
ReplyDeletesignificant other would
ReplyDeletebn100candg(at)hotmail(dot)com
lol it would be me. Here's a funny story. Many, many years ago my husband got it into his head he wanted to try something like that. He got a pair of nylons and tied my arms to be bed bosts. And then I proceeded to stretch them and I could totally reach everything and asked "what now." That was the end of that lol.
ReplyDeleteHappy release day!
catslady5(at)aol.com
ack didn't proofread (have a cat on my lap and keyboard too lol) - that was "the bed post"
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the release Olivia! I totally am in love with your books! As per Q, it would be me! ;P
ReplyDeleteWell Olivia...I loved your other two books and I don't expect Hot Ticket will be any different:)
ReplyDeleteAbout those cuffs...only in a fantasy-land kind of way for either of us;)
Hmm, me :D
ReplyDeleteCongratulation on the new release! I can't wait to read it!
Happy release day!
ReplyDeleteIt can go either way with the cuffs!

ReplyDeleteAs for the cuffs...neither. Just...neither ;)
Congratulations! I can't wait to read it. Most definitely me.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the latest release! As for your question, I'll say I'm going to make my significant other wear the cuffs ;)
ReplyDeletechibipooh(at)gmail(dot)com
Happy Release day to you!! Thats an easy question. Its a mutual thing in my house. We like switch off the DOM roll. ;)
ReplyDeleteMe!!! On my TBR list for the weekend! Come on Friday
ReplyDeleteWell, my husband is always teasing me about tying me up - so I guess I'd have to say I'd be wearing them! Congrats on the new release and thank for the chance to win.
ReplyDeletemlawson17 at hotmail dot com
Cannot wait to read this one! Husband cuffed me once. I liked it, but he didn't. He said it reminded him too much of the times he'd been arrested. I'm like "Oh, you choose NOW to have empathy?!"
ReplyDeleteOh im the one wereing the cuffs for sure...and id let Jace make it one hell of a Pleasure Party....
ReplyDeleteJace can make me beg anytime he wants....
If one of us was going to be in handcuffs... it would happily be me!
ReplyDeletePick me! Pick me! I'll wear the cuffs this time, I swear!!!
ReplyDeleteIF either of us would be likely to wear cuffs, it probably would be me...but I am most likely to start trying acrobatics to see if I can get out of them, lol. Good luck with the release!
ReplyDeleteAnd the winner is...
ReplyDelete*drumroll*
Kristy, with comment #37!
Thanks for leaving your email address. I'll be in contact.
Can we take turns to be cuffed? ;) *blush* I liked the idea of being cuffed, but that said, I can think of sooo many things I want to do to my significant other when he's cuffed. I've got the kink on!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Olivia on the release of Hot Ticket! I love the Sinners, especially Brian and his guitar fingers... can't wait to read Jace's story!
