Time to Relax

I think most of us would love to relax more. And I think I know exactly why we don't relax more. We don't have time. I know I don't have time. But I think I've figured out how I could find more time.

It's very simple.

I need a personal maid.

I need a personal chef.

I need a personal gardener.

I need a personal chauffeur.

I need a personal hairdresser.

What about you? If you had to choose, which of the above would help you have more time to relax?

  1. None of the above, Shana. Just a wolfish kind of hunk. hmmmm....

  2. Sign me up for your whole list, Shana!

  3. You put me in mind of Judy Syfer's classic, "I Want A Wife." Her sentiments are twenty years old, and we can all ring those changes today.

The maid would be a big help around here, and I don't need a chauffeur, but a swain to ride shotgun wouldn't go amiss.

  4. I would take the hair dresser and gardener. And a hunky man!

  5. All of the above and an assistant to do the interviews. Especially would like the maid and the gardener.

  6. None of the above, Shana - not that I'd turn any of them away if they showed up on my doorstep.

I relax most fully when I step away from the technology. Cell phone off, computers down, no internet. I can practically hear my brain say, "Aaaahhhh....."

  7. LOL, Terry! I wouldn't complain if one of those showed up.

  8. Too funny, Grace! I've heard of "I want a Wife" but never read the original. I want a wife, too!

  9. That many interviews, huh, Carolyn :-) No one could answer the questions like you can!

  10. Good for you, Tamara! I don't find any of those tasks relaxing. I don't mind folding laundry, but that's about it.

  11. Of course I'd choose them all, too! Well, maybe I'd start with the chef. I'm not a very good cook!

  12. Great list, Shana...but I'd love someone to wash the dishes for me--and dry them and put them away.

    I really hate that chore.

  13. I'll go for the maid everytime. I hate housecleaning lol. It would give me more time to cook which I enjoy (it's the figuring out what to cook that is the hardest).

  14. Ah the personal chef, well some of the time. I like to cook and as the the maid, well yea, goes with out saying Now the chauffer is something I really need at the momment as do i need the hairdresser. Oh and I could use someone to do personal errands for me.. OH God, am I just lazy... But then I could have more time to read.

  16. Amelia, I am so glad to hear you say that. I am an awful cook, and sometimes I feel like I'm the only bad cook around.

  17. C.H., they have invented a machine called a dishwasher. It does everything but put the dishes away. You need one!

  18. Catslady, if I had a maid maybe I would be a better cook! LOL!

  19. Kathleen, I am too lazy to do my own hair! How's that? Really, it's just that I would rather spend my time on other things (like reading).

  20. I'd have to vote for the maid...everything else I can get by with (thanks to frozen dinners and avoidance behaviors, lol)...

  21. My thoughts exactly, Cheryl!

  22. What's wrong with frozen dinners and avoidance, Elf2060? Works for me!

  23. Yes, sign me up! I'd also like a personal assistant to tell me what I'm supposed to be doing at any given time, or better yet, do it for me while I relax!

  24. Amanda, I need a personal assistant to keep track of everything for me!
