Desperate for change...

This month's theme is change. That's funny because book #2 in the Strange Neighbors series is all about change. I just finished final edits so, YIPEEEEEE! It's a done deal. Now I just have to wait for February to roll around. Here's the blurb:

Desperate for change, public defender Roz Wells decides moving into a new apartment is just what she needs, but she'll get more than she bargained for when she starts dating the dangerously hot boy next door, who just happens to be a shapeshifter and possibly a criminal!

Konrad Wolfenden has made a living staging break-ins to spook people into buying his security system, but when he's accused of a serious crime, he'll have to enlist the help of his sexy new neighbor/girlfriend to keep his cute, slightly criminal rear end out of jail.

It's another fun romp through my paranormal imagination. If you like the sound of it, or you can't get enough of the Strange Neighbors, you can pre-buy it here

Sometimes change isn't for the better. That's why it scares us. Over the years I've been through multiple changes and each time my life has improved. It's getting so darn good now, I'm afraid to change anything!

But change is the nature of the world--at least that's what Chad the ghost says in Strange Neighbors. He also says, "Change can kiss my ass."

  5. Sounds interesting and a bit out of the ordinary--an actual criminal "hero" but it sounds like she's going to be the hero for him.

Change is scary so this book sounds like it's perfectly themed.

I will have to put it on my definate 'to read' list.

    Good luck!

  9. Thanks. Loni, Katie, Terry and Desiree.

Yes, I like ideas that are a little different and refreshing. A heroine who saves a hero...a 'sort-of criminal.' LOL. You'll have to read it to find out what that's about!

He's really much more hero than you might think.

  11. Hi Ash! Change has happened in my life too but not for the better.
I've been trying to change my life back to the way it was and that's been so hard and feels impossible. But I'm always trying! :)

  12. Ash, I'm one of those people who likes change if it suits me and I don't like it if it doesn't! :-)

Your next book sounds exciting. Good luck!

I think I know the source of your frustration. You can't go backward. Accept where you are now and forward ho!
