Let's Hear it For Fun Stuff!

And I happen to be one. Probably why my mom gave me the Sephora blockbuster palette for Christmas. Did I leave hints? Hm, yes!

We’re talking 60,000 different looks. 84 eyeshadows, 3 blushes, 60 lip gloss, 2 lip liners, 3 eye liners, 6 cream eyeliners, 6 matte eyeshadows, and 6 sparkly eyeshadows. My very own crayon box.

It rates right alongside my Wicked Witch of the East Barbie, which I also got.

Proof that my witches come by their fun stuff through me.

This shows how life does make circles. When I was little I might get dolls, crayons, and paints for Christmas. I collect stuffed animals and I still get them.

And nothing better than the fun stuff, is there?
I'm also going to be teaching some writing classes on line. You can see them at http://www.storystewuniversity.com/

  3. Linda, thats too cool! My mother would love it, me, not so much. I wear makeup rarely and dread putting it on. My mother on the other hand, would go nuts over it. You gave me a great idea for her birthday present!

  5. That's a fabulous Christmas gift! I've seen that at Sephora many a time.

  6. I don't think we outgrow our toys, Linda...they just get more expensive. ;}

  7. I love Sephora. I have a strong urge to go visit one right now. . . Hmmm

  8. Holy cow! That's a lot of colors! I'd be chasing my kids out of that 20x a day. I used to be really good at doing my make-up and hair, but then I got out of practice by staying home. *sigh* One day, I'll have time to glam-it up again. :)

  9. Hi Jessica,

    I have both Wizard of Oz witch Barbies. I got the Wicked Witch of the West last year for my birthday. Plus all the Halloween Barbies, since it just seemed appropriate. :}

    Cool! The classes should be a lot of fun.

  10. It's really fun, Terry. Although my husband freaked since he knows how much make up I already have.

    I used to take classes held by a film make up artist and it's always been fun for me.

  11. Robin,

    If they don't have it in your Sephora store, check on line since it's a limited edition. And it's not real big, slides together very nicely.

  12. Oh Cheryl, we must do something about that!!!

    We'll talk in Nashville. :}

  13. Go for it, Libby! We finally got one last summer. Before that I either ordered on line or made a trip to San Diego.

  14. Sarah,

    Sometimes you've got to do it for yourself. I admit I don't but I make sure there's make up on when I leave the house. I never know who I might run into.

  15. WOW that is a KEWL make-up kit, Linda!

    My mom was an Avon lady for 25 years. She started when I was in 6th grade. I also learned never to leave the house without at least a bit of make-up on.

    Remember that line from the movie "My Girl" (I think it was spoken by Jamie Lee Curtis): A girl can never have too much blue eye shadow.

  16. It's fantastic, AC. I have a couple travel type palenttes from Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown, and Trish McEvoy but this is my absolute favorite.

    Yep, at least, a hint of bronzer, blush and lip gloss!

  17. I adore makeup. Of all the jobs I ever had, I think I enjoyed selling makeup the most.

    I loved showing women how, with a dab of this and a swish of that, their beauty could be brought out for all to see.

    When I was done they felt good, and I felt good. Talk about win-win!

    I saw one of those huge makeup kits the other night and thought, yum! wish I had one.

    You are going to have the most fun!

  18. Wow Linda! I wouldn't have a clue how to use any of those! Glam yourself up and snap some photos! Do a couple Mimi from The Drew Carey show numbers just for fun. And so we can laugh at you. :)

  19. Definitely MM. A friend of mine had been a freelance make up artist in the high end department stores. We first met when she gave me a makeover and asked me if I used Mr. Clean for a cleanser. :}

    I used to love visiting her and getting fun makeovers. A great way to try new things too.

    Friends of mine who never wore makeup learned just how much fun it was.

  20. Sharon!

    Although some colors could probably do that.

    I remember when the natural look first came out and the funny part about it was that it took a half hour to do.
