Congratulations on your 15th wedding anniversary. Isn't it interesting when you hear about people falling in love through phone calls and letters? Your story is so sweet. I love the romantic "get-on-a-plane-to-propose" part. So decisive :-)

I hope you enjoy Meet the Earl at Midnight and take care-
GinaGina Conklehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06279659570377738037noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2802601138878132017.post-11009132844790809812014-02-05T13:21:32.403-05:002014-02-05T13:21:32.403-05:00Hi Terry, thanks! I ran across his profile at a penpal site on AOL and just felt drawn to write to him. We wrote back and forth a couple times and then about a month later we happened to be online at the same time and we started instant messaging this was back in the day of dial-up. After a couple months of that we started talking on the phone and there was no free long distance calls. Remember all those numbers you dialed before dialing the actual number you wanted to call? Those 10 cents a minute lines? Of course those ten cents add up when you talk for hours. He was living in Pennsylvania and I was living in Arizona. He flew out here to be my date for my brothers wedding and that was that. After a few months of travelling back and forth and major phone bills I finally said to him that it would just be cheaper if we got married, so he flew out to AZ a month later and proposed. We just celebrated our 15th anniversary last month.Sarah R.https://www.blogger.com/profile/00031754053134563316noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2802601138878132017.post-78807572376392606832014-02-05T08:43:26.158-05:002014-02-05T08:43:26.158-05:00I love it, Gina and I'm so glad it worked out...I love it, Gina and I'm so glad it worked out the way it did. My...What a fun story! Thanks so much for sharing.

My DH and I met in college when we were singing in the same choir. (The man has a Voice!) I was going with another guy at the time, but found myself singing to my future DH across the room pretty much every day. He asked me out, but of course, I said no. I was not that kind of girl. I"m the faithful sort. He asked me again and again, but it kept getting harder to say no. Then the term ended and he was planning to travel with a team for a year. I knew I'd never see him again if I didn't do something. So I dumped my boyfriend, called and asked HIM out.

My whole life pivoted on that one phone call.Mia Marlowehttp://www.miamarlowe.comnoreply@blogger.com
