Summer Fun by Shana Galen

It's summer and that means time for fun. Actually, for me, it's meant deadlines and multiple projects and little sleep. But I try to remember summer is also about fun. It's about getting outside and riding bikes.

Or splashing in the water.

Or watching a soccer game.

There's indoor fun too. In Houston, I love the indoor activities because outside is HOT! There's bowling. Princess Galen got a split :-)

There's dinosaur riding

and other museum activities.

Of course, there are crafts.

And books. Don't forget the books!

What's your favorite part of summer?

  1. Did you make that heart craft with Princess Galen? So cute. It looks like something my daughter would love too.

In my family, summer is a time of birthdays galore. And since we live far away from almost all my relatives, it's also a time when we travel to see them. Like you, I have a lot of deadlines, so I am trying to balance "yay family!" with work time. Not sure how well I am doing. Balance is as much of a work in progress as, well, my current WIP. :)

    1. I did help her with the craft a little, but it's a great craft for kids to do by themselves while you type on the computer beside them. I love crafts that say 5+, and kids who are 5 can actually do them with a little initial direction. I got it through Orb Factory, but that's because she wanted that specific one. They also have them at toy stores.

    1. Oh, I love having coffee outside. That's a spring thing in Houston, though.

    1. It's pretty funny to see her on a bucking brontosaurus.

  5. Lately, the fun has been watching (anxiously) the vegetables grow, waiting for them to get large enough to eat and trying to get to them before all of the non-humans sample! Thanks for the pictures, looks like you have a full schedule!
