There’s something sexy about a spy. There’s the whole secret
identity thing, the dodging bullets thing, and the shakes martinis. So when readers
asked for more spy books after Lord and
Lady Spy, I was happy to oblige with True Spies. I couldn’t wait to dive into Winn and
Elinor’s story.
In a nutshell, Winn is an elite spy. Elinor, his wife of 14
years, has no idea. She’s not too happy to discover his deception, especially
when she’s been seeking some intrigue of her own.
So what makes a great spy?
A great outfit?
A signature drink?
A cool gadget?
A cocky grin?
Check out my trailer
for True Spies then tell me what
quality you think defines a great spy. One person who comments will receive a
copy of True Spies (U.S. and Canada
only).
Congrats on the new release, Shana! Spies are so intriguing. There's always that little bit of danger looming around every corner, the possibility of being caught. Very exciting and mysterious.
ReplyDeleteBig Congratulations on the new release...it sounds like so much fun. LOVE the cover but I've loved all your spy covers. They are just too cool for words!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Victoria! I have to agree with the danger and intrigue!
ReplyDeleteThanks you, Carolyn. I have been so lucky.
ReplyDeleteI think their flexibility and adaptability is hot. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats, Shana! I'm looking forward to reading your newest book. My favorite spy trait? Stealth!
ReplyDeleteHa! Love this post. I'd say an ability to make effective decisions under great stress makes a good spy.
ReplyDeleteNo need to enter me in the giveaway--I already own TRUE SPIES and loved reading it. Thanks for a marvelous story.
I'd make a lousy spy, I have a terrible memory!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Shana, on the release of "True Spies". I enjoyed watching the trailer.
ReplyDeleteI think a few good qualities for being a great spy are discretion, stealth, awareness of their surroundings, the ability to adapt to any given identity, and the capability of being able to disappear at a moment's notice.
I can't argue with that Brooklyn Ann!
ReplyDeleteStealth. Love it, Maria!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Theresa. I completely agree with your choice, too.
ReplyDeletegirlygirlhoosier, mine hasn't been so great lately either.
ReplyDeleteDiane, love those traits, especially the ability to disappear.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! :)
ReplyDeleteHot clothing does helping! Love the pic of Daniel Craig!
Congratulations! Confidence and the fact that he is willing to die for you! Sean Connery is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteIts the protecting thing. The loyalty too. But unfortunately, the loyalty thing often doesn't get applied to their families until its almost too late. But apart from that, its just that they have no bounds when it comes to protecting what they love.
ReplyDeleteThanks, May. You don't think Austin Powers' clothing is hot? :-)
ReplyDeletecatslady, sacrificing his life does make for a pretty sexy guy.
ReplyDeletekrazymama, that's exactly what Winn has to learn. Maybe in real life a spy wouldn't make such a great husband/mate.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great new release, Shana!! Okay, I love James Bound, cool, and calculating and sooo hot. Get Smart??? She has the smarts. LOL :) But in really good spy stories, there's all that UNDERCOVER work. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, Terry! LOL! :-)

I think that ability to be a chameleon and to think fast on one's feet is essential for a spy.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway.

I like the ability to disappear, or to blend into different surroundings. Congrats on the release of Tue Spies.
ReplyDeleteI think the quality that defines a great spy is an ability to play a character and sell it no matter what, thinking on their feet to adapt to changing situations.

ReplyDeleteBN100, I like that one!
ReplyDeleteI should give one of the spies the code name chameleon, Elf.
ReplyDeleteThanks, LSU Reader. I agree!
ReplyDeleteBarbara, yes! Winn and Blue, especially, can do this.
ReplyDeleteAnd the winner of the book is Diane D. Email me at shana@shanagalen.com!
ReplyDeleteThank you Shana. I'm very excited and happy about this.
