Ladies (and maybe some gentlemen, hey, all are welcome
here!) I am so very, very pleased to welcome you to the official launch party
of…
GEEK GIRLS DON’T DATE DUKES!
I know, I know, I was just here a couple of days ago. But
that was business, talking about research and facts. This is pure pleasure.
Can I pour you a cocktail? I call this one the Right Hook,
after one of Avery’s best punches. And this one is a special one, I call it Sex
In The Stables, after, well, you get the idea. ;) And if you don't, well them you should check out this link that has a list of fine places to order GGDDD from, pick up a copy, and darn well find out!! ;)
So many times we as authors get caught up in the business.
We’ve got to write that next book, come up with that next idea, keep ourselves
on a good production schedule, market, promote, be visible and present online,
do accounting, keep track of sales, good lord, I need another drink just
talking about it. But sometimes we just get to sit back, cross our fingers, and
watch our book fly.
This is one of those times for me. Yes, I’ve got a big book
tour (Keep a check on GinaLamm.net for my full schedule!) but this is so much
fun for me. Celebrating with bloggers and fans, realizing that I do have some
fans besides my mom (which is SO COOL. I can’t tell you guys how incredible
that feels.) it’s just amazing.
So here we go. I’ve chatted enough. Let’s party.
I’d like to introduce you guys to the stars of the show,
Leah Ramsey and Avery Russell.
Leah is an elementary school theatre teacher, a Renn-Faire
fan, and an all around geek girl. Avery is a former pugilist turned gentleman’s
valet, who has the dubious pleasure of easing Leah’s transition into Regency
England.
Leah has picked us a few songs to dance to, so I’ll get
those going right now. Avery has graciously agreed to treat us to an exhibition
spar, so let’s all ogle, I mean, watch carefully, as he strips down to his
waist and begins.
Grab a cocktail, pull up a seat, and let’s celebrate the
second Geek Girls book! If anyone has any questions, I’ll be the author in the
corner, swilling spiked lemonade and singing sea shanties. ;)
Congrats on the new release, Gina! Looks like a fun read.
