I Hope...

I hope...
your guitar is strategically placed.
...or not... whatever...

I hope
your passion never dies.

I hope
your motor revs high.

I also hope you have awesome fans (like I do) who make sensational graphics to represent the characters in your books. *waves at Heather*

I hope you have a wonderful relationship with your children, even when they are teenagers. Especially when they are teenagers.
Last weekend we went to a concert together. And he claimed me. :-)

I hope you have a fur baby in your life that always offers you love.
My fur baby is Shortie. She's always ready with a tail wag.

I hope you find hope when it feels like the entire world is against you.

And I hope you have a fan-freakin'-tastic weekend!

My baby graduates from high school this Sunday. I'm sure there must be some sort of mistake. Wasn't it only yesterday that he turned four?

  1. This was a great post~! I still cannot believe that you have a son who is graduating high school. You look like you're barely out of college. Time does fly... doesn't it?

  2. Super, Olivia!! My baby just graduated from college and is getting married this year, and moving 3 1/2 hours away, argh. :) Where has the time gone???

  4. Thanks, ladies! (especially you, Sara)

I'm both excited and anxious about the next year. I can't wait to see what he does with his life, but at the same time I hate to see him go. Even if it is only an hour away. For now.

Terry if you need to commiserate, you know where to find me. :-)

  5. Olivia, I didn't start writing until Beloved Offspring sprang into her own apartment, and then, my, my, my... there was so much emotional oxygen available in the house, the books started piling up at a great rate. It isn't empty nest, it's the next wonderful phase.

  6. Hi, Olivia! Congratulations! After I graduated from high school, I got along better with my mom. We went to a much better place. You definitely don't look old enough to have a son graduating...kudos to keeping the youthful glow! I have a furbaby, Ruby Tuesday. She's a flame point Persian. I have a fantastic husband who only ticks me off because he likes to get a rise out of me. No children...I'm good with that, but I have a neice who just went to her junior prom. Her mom and I still remember our prom!!! I don't normally feel old. I felt all 38 of my years that day. I'm not in any hurry to feel that again. I'm glad you like the graphics because I luvs to create them!

  10. What great fans you have! My little one just graduated from the Kangaroos to the Ponies. It's a long way from high school, but I guess she needs to learn to talk more first.

  11. Great post, Olivia!

My son should be graduating, but since he had such a late birthday, I held him back a year. I'm so glad I did, neither of us are ready for his independence. :)

Love the pictures your fans made. How cool is that?

  12. Grace, I do think I'll have a lot more time for writing when he goes. Who needs to fix dinner and do laundry when there are no kids in the house? Not me. I can wear this shirt more than once.

Heather- You rock! Hard! I'm glad I had my kid young. I missed my partying 20s so I guess I'll have my partying 40s.

I think time goes a little faster every year.
