Outcast Launch Party!!!!

I haven't made it to Borders yet, but I went to my local Barnes & Noble a few days ago and signed these copies, so if anyone is in the Bloomington, IN area and wants a signed copy, GO FOR IT!!!!

This was the first time I'd taken a picture of my books in a store, and also marks the first time I ever signed books with any of my family in attendance. LOL! Mike was afraid I'd get in trouble for taking pictures! He has so much to learn. . . .

I've been getting some feedback from readers and reviewers on Outcast, and except for one who accused me of head-hopping (guilty as charged!--but she did like the book!) I've been very pleased. I'm improving my third person skills, thanks to some coaching from Marie, and I think the subsequent books will be more acceptable from a technique standpoint.

Though I may have been writing off and on for the past thirty years, like most of us, I'm still learning. The fact that flying by the seat of my pants has gotten me this far is something of a miracle, for which I am very thankful. I may not get rich, but as my husband said when he held up the four books I now have in print, "Now, that's a SHELF!"

As part of the launch day festivities, I'd like to share this review of Outcast with you!

When his planet Zetith was destroyed, seventeen year old Lynxsander "Lynx" Dackelov survived, but was captured and sold at a slave auction. He became the slave to a horde of female slaves. The women at any time of day or night would enjoy his sexual prowess as he lives up to the legend of the men of Zetith. However, overly abused, he could no longer stand the smell of desire and became inefficient at sex; the women starved him and ridiculed his failure; eventually he became impotent. He was sold to a male owner who freed him after five years of service.

On Terra Minor, pregnant Bonnie Neurath runs a farm by herself. Her man Sylor Halen deserted her stealing their money. She needs help on the farm especially with her baby due in a few months. A free man, Lynx arrives on Terra Minor but is broke. He accepts a job on Bonnie’s farm, but makes it clear he wants nothing to do with his boss because she is a female. Bonnie is attracted to Lynx and showers him with kindness while he performs his duties outstandingly. As he tries to keep his distance, he smells her desire and worse feels his own desire rising for the first time in years.

The fourth Cat Star Chronicles science fiction romance (see SLAVE, WARRIOR, and ROGUE) is a super entry due to the unique damaged goods hero, who puts quite a spin on being a Zetithian. The sex and the suspense come fairly late, but no one will care as the lead characters control the stage performing superbly. Bonnie is a strong nurturing individual, but the aptly titled OUTCAST owns the novel with his idiosyncrasies forged by abuse by women; he cannot even eat in front of another person. Cheryl Brooks is at the top of her game with this excellent entry that will have her fans purring for more.

To celebrate the Outcast launch, I asked the ladies who follow my personal blog to take pictures of themselves with their books while wearing their Cat Star Chronicles T-shirts!

The first is Ana, who, as our official Hunky Buns Inspector, plays a very valuable role in our quest for the hunkiest buns in the universe!

And Leslie, our lovely Exotic Erotic Expert! Who graciously designed and purchased our T-shirts.

And wild woman extraordinaire, our very own Diva Donna!

And me, the author and Cat Master!

So, ladies of the blog, don your Rock-N-Rolla T-shirts and let's PARTY!!!! Can anyone do the Cat Star Shuffle?

I'll be giving away a signed copy of Outcast to one lucky commenter, so flex your pretty little fingers and post something!!!!

  28. Caroline,
It was either the girls in their T-shirts or some hunks in nothing! LOL! Of course, for that sort of thing, you have to go to that "Other" blog!
    Thanks!

  29. Hi Aunt Cindy!
A friend of mine just had her gall bladder out on Tuesday and she was back at work Friday night. Amazing, isn't it? When I had my gall bladder out in '84, I was off for six weeks!
    Hope you feel better soon.
    Thanks!
